Overview:
    Created as a "sister chassis" to the Hræsvelgr, the Lammergeier is an opportunistic hunter
    built to catch unsuspecting enemies with volleys of long range fire. Its production was
    kickstarted by taking heavy inspiration from what seemed to be a destroyed 'Mech prototype
    that was uncovered by the Laughing Vultures on Angell II; while the data they recovered
    showed extensive design flaws, like the misaligned cockpit making ejection exceedingly
    difficult, it had enough promise to warrant a second lease on life.

Capabilities:
    Equipped with 16.5 tons of Stealth Armor and built on an endo-composite chassis, the
    Lammergeier (or Furiae, for the Inner Sphere market) is meant to strike hard from a
    favorable angle when its opponents least expect it. While it has received scorn from the
    newly reborn Jade Falcons, being a machine that relies on "dirty tricks" to get an
    advantage, its usefulness whenever it was deployed alongside their new touman begrudgingly
    saw it earn its rightful spot as a headhunter. While expensive due to the use of an armored
    cockpit and a compact gyro, it boasts a decent amount of pod space at 30 tons, meaning it
    can use several different loadouts effectively and giving enterprising Mechwarriors ample
    room for experimentation. The fixed partial wing system makes its mission profile obvious,
    but the decision to not mount jump jets directly onto the chassis was heavily pushed by the
    chief engineer from D&K Creation Studios in charge of the project to "maximize tactical
    flexibility, and because that shit is stupid".

Variants:
    Created to put the "Hunt" in head-hunting unit, the C configuration of the Lammergeier is
    meant to take ample advantage of inner sphere technology to help improve its job of
    ambushing unawares units and hunting down specific targets on the battlefield. In this
    particular case, its Bloodhound Active probe combined with its twin arm mounted PLasma
    Rifles makes it the perfect unit to hunt down heavier tank, battle armor, and even 'mech
    units in the field. To help keep these twin rifles cooled, two more heat sinks are added to
    the chassis to try and keep the struggle of stealth armor based cooling problems minimal.
    
    For backup, non ammunition reliant weaponry best suited for knife fighting ranges that still
    contribute well to the configuration's main focus, a grand total of four clan spec small
    pulse lasers as well as two clan spec extended range medium lasers are mounted, the pulse
    lasers in the arms, with the mediums being torso mounted. Should the design alpha with the
    armor on it is woefully undersinked, but should it come to that whatever it fires at will
    feel acute regret for however long it is alive.
