Overview:
    In the wake of the release of the Jinete JNT-52A, surrounding IS and Periphery powers
    started scrambled to produce there own "hardpoint" mechs. In this regard, D&K Cretion
    Studios decided to put their own money on the table for this 'mech design philosophy and
    make what would eventually become known as the Ironclad.
    
    Created with the intent to have balistic hardpoints and missile hardpoints in the arms,
    while having energy hardpoints in the side torsos, the engineers came across issues when
    linking up the targeting systems of the weapons to the chassis computer. To rectify this
    issues, much like in the Avatar omnimech the designers decided to mount two laser weapons
    into the central torso to allow for testing on the chassis' systems to find the gremlin.
    Afterwards it was decided to kepe the lasers mounted onto the design, as it allowed for a
    solid pair of backup weaponry on the chassis.

Capabilities:
    The Ironclad DDC-7A was created with the intent to both show off D&K Creation Studio's
    understanding of the modular hardpoint system as well as to create a robust and relatively
    hardy fighting platform that would allow mechwarriors to hit hard and fast on a heavy
    chassis.
    
    To do this while still keeping the 'mech's weapon available to mount substaintial weaponry,
    a 300 rated light fusion engine, endo-composite skeleton, and 11 tons of light ferro fibrous
    armor were allocated to allow for both hardy protection for tonnage as well as a fast enough
    movement speed around 84 kilometers per hour at a run.
    
    The primary weapon systems of note for the A are the twin Rotary Autocannon 2s, one mounted
    apiece in the arms, that are fed with two total tons of CASE II protected ammunition that is
    similarly located in the arms. For backup weaponry, the center torso mounted medium pulse
    lasers do well enough for the job of closer in fighting. To help keep the machine cool ten
    engine moutned double heat sinks are more than enough in most cases.
