Overview:
    The 14KA variant of the venerable Panther is designed to keep its strengths and apply them
    to as many mission parameters as possible.

Capabilities:
    A light fusion engine and five jump jets allow improved speed and mobility; arguably the
    minimum expected from most light mechs.
    
    Despite the increased vulnerability of the engine, it can still survive a destroyed, side
    torso, and its Endo Steel frame is covered in a full 10 tons of advanced Ballistic
    Reinforced armor.
    
    The typical PPC has been switched out for deadly Large VSP whose accuracy is appreciated by
    the urban environments that the Panther tends to excel at. The backup weapon is
    unfortunately lacking, being an advanced Small X-Pulse Laser chosen specifically to deal
    with infantry.
    
    The lack of ammo could have been seen as a positive for long-term garrison assignments, but
    the advanced materials used have largely counteracted that benefit.

Deployment:
    Ever a popular design, the 14KA piggybacks off the Panther's fame.
    Effective but unspectacular, many observers feel that it will simply remain a stop-gap
    design doomed to eventually be forgotten once a new model arrives.
