Overview:
    Built as a cheap assault omnimech for export to spheroids, the Nosferatu is built with
    survivability and durability in mind. Rather than mount an XL engine like most clan
    machines, Clan Diamond Shark would instead choose a clan manufactured standard fusion
    engine, mounting a total of 12 internal double heat sinks. This saved a considerable amount
    of manufacturing time, but also some  The endosteel frame is shared with the Phoenix Hawk
    IIC, but the armor layout is very different, using standard manufactured plating sourced
    from of all things, Bergan Industries classic Compound 12A2. Clan Diamond Shark won the
    right to both purchase, repair, and license produce limited quantities of this armored
    plating from Clan Ghost Bear in 3053.
    
    Weighing in at 80 tons, the Nosferatu's Type 10 280 Standard Fusion engine propels it to a
    maximum speed of 64kph, an acceptable speed for an 80 ton battlemech in the Inner Sphere. 30
    tons of weight devoted to omnipods exceeds the Gargoyle, but is less than what could
    potentially be done with an XL engine. With 14.5 tons of armor plating, the Nosferatu has an
    impressive amount of protection built onto the frame. As a cheap alternative to more
    impressive standard machines like the Mad Cat Mk II or omnimechs like the Gargoyle, the
    Nosferatu has carved an interesting and profitable niche both inside the eventual Clan Sea
    Fox toumen and in smaller mercenary units across the inner sphere. A well armored assault
    mech able to fulfill a variety of roles while keeping up with most mechs in its weight
    bracket and many heavy mechs, the Nosferatu shines as a second line battlemech for clan
    forces or a hard hitting front line machine for spheroids.

Capabilities:
    A mobile missile boat, the D configuration of the Nosferatu is another surprisingly
    effective machine for its tonnage. Two LRM20's with Artemis IV FCS are added, one in each
    side torso, while each arm has a Streak SRM6 launcher. A pair of ER Medium Lasers find a
    mount in the center torso, giving an ammunition free backup weapon for the mech. Four jump
    jets give the D configuration the ability to quickly reposition in rough terrain, and the
    baseline heat sinks give excellent cooling ability for the machine.
