Overview:
During Succession wars era house Marik started to feel the lack of assault mechs in it's
army, especially on border with Lyran Commontwealth where even heavy mechs like venerable
Orion were sometimes pushed aside by ponderous, but almost unstoppable Stainer mechs.

Marik troops developed several techniques to counter heavier opponent's actions, but LCCC
secretly ordered development of an assault mech that would be produced form home made
components, but the costs associated with production and almost traditional problems with
bureaucracy and logistics that plagued the league for years slowed the program until
General-Captain himself took personal interest in that matter and the project was pushed to
    final stages.

Capabilities:
Development team searched long for factories that would be able to start production of new
assault class battlemech, but all production lines were busy turning off mechs to fill the
gaps left from previous fights, so the engineers started to look for alternative solutions.
One of the ideas proved to be especially interesting. Converting one of the best known of
League's aerospace fighters to battle mech was unorthodox but still viable idea that later
proved to be partial solution to assault production problem. This had another interesting
side effect. Both Lyran and Capellan secret services were confused by this product and for
three years there were rumors about FWL developing assault Land-Air Mech that played havoc
    in both services.

The child of marriage between mech and Aerospace fighter looks weird at best. Upper half of
mech's body were actually made from complete F-100 Riever fighter with belly armor removed
to make place for waist and wings were shortened. Weapons were mostly left in place, but
necessary structural reinforcements forced the engineers to drastically reduce cooling
capacity, leaving it approximately on two thirds of that on F-100. So the mech is capable of
firing it's direct fire weapons or "wings" mounted missile batteries, but doing both can
quickly overheat the machine. The armor was also left untouched, with plates from severed
wing wrapped around leg structure taken from old Banshee. This move gave them uncommon
aerodynamic look that accompanies whole design and makes it harder to hit. Despite it's
weight the mech isn't tall, mere fourteen meters, but it's quite broad at shoulders and
flat, quite similar to King Crab.

Core of mech's armament consists of powerful Imperator Zeta-a autocannon and four supporting
Beta-6 SRM launchers. The SRMs are mounted on pylons that were originally Riever's wings,
but in the case of emergency the pylons can be turned backward to deal with enemy trying to
flank the mech. This design feature still surprises many green pilots who think that M-100
may be easy kill. Gamma-10 LRM rack was replaced with Kreuss PPC to provide some long range
firepower and energy backup for otherwise ammunition consuming armament. Designers dismissed
complaints about unavailability of PPCs in League space with relatively low production
numbers of this mech. The amount of ammunition carried on this mech troubled the designers
for quite some time, but the were unable to deal with it so they at least attempted to cover
ammo bays with heat dissipation units to prevent explosions from overheating, but Missile
reloads that rest just behind the launchers are still quite vulnerable.

    Battle History:

On the field the pilots tend to use similar tactics to those of their fighter comrades.
Rapidly closing on main body of enemy force while relying on the other units to protect them
from harassing units and providing missile support. Riever Mechs are often accompanied by
    Archers and Orions.

    During raid Shiloh Lyrans%

Deployment:
There is only handful of Riever Mechs deployed mainly around league border with Lyran
Commontwealth. Small assembly line on Andurien is retooled for M-100 production, but civil
    unrest constantly slows the work.

    Remarkable Warriors:

    Captain Markus Morawiec

With twelve mech kills the hero of Shiloh is one of the hot candidates for promotion this
year. It may be just an accident but he started his career as fighter pilot.
