Overview:
In 3050 Corean Enterprises began production of the model CN9-D Centurion at its New Avalon
factory, and at Jalastar Aerospace's Centurion plant on Panpour. The model that emerged
from the New Avalon factory combined Endo Steel internal structure with extra-light engine
technology to increase payload and speed.

This had the disadvantage of increasing cost and decreasing survivability. Thou the
CN9-D's speed was 150 percent over the CN9-A its armor had remained the same. Thin Torso
armor and a bulkier engine resulted in great field looses. In 3057 Corean Enterprises set
out to correct this and began the testing of its new Battlemech line. The CN10 Petorian.

Capabilities:
The CN10 shares the same chassie as the CN9-D, thou heavily modified to accept the new
designs internal layout. One of the greatest changes was the removal of the GM 300 XL Fusion
reactor for a Magna 250. Thou heavier the Magna increases field survivability and while
producing less speed the overall drop is minor.

In addition to changing the engine the designers opted for dual strength coolers
within the engine core instead of the original single strength coolers. This allowed for an
increase in overall heat output of the CN10, thus allowing the addition of hotter running
    weapons.

With that in mind the tell tell Class 10 Autocannon was removed and replaced with a
PPC. This allowed for the addition of a second missile launcher piggy backed under the LRM
Rack. Additionly all the ammo reloads were moved to a much closer position and protected via
case. Meaning that the CN10 can suffer an internal explosion and continue to opperate its
primary weapon and retreat unlike the CN9-D.

In addition to these other changes the external armor has been increased to 89
percent maximum for its weight class. This has altered the external profile somewhat,
keeping only a hand full of the CN9's features. One important addition is the inclusion of
the now popular head ejection system.

When asked for comments the test pilot stated he loved how the design handled.
Stating that anyone familier with the CN9 series will quickly get used to the CN10. His
favorite feature was the inclusion of double strength coolers. "Ya the CN9s could run damn
hot at times, this babies a dream."

    Variants:

Two variants are on the consideration board. Both suggested by the test pilot. The
first was switching out the standard PPC for an Extended Range version. "Well like I said
this baby can handle heat well. So I said pack one of the long shooters, cause I was tired
of the feed back while targeting units close up."

The second was to add Ferro-Fiberous. "Well I asked dem one day after a test if
they could pack on Ferro instead of the StarGuard they was usin. After a couple days they
said, they might be able to."

Deployment:
The CN10s are going thru there final paces and should be released within 6 months.
