Overview:
    Created by D&K Creation Studios as a relatively inexpensive sniping platform that would
    easily perform "shoot and scoot" maneuvers and otherwise provide easy fire support platforms
    for planetary militia, the Eyeshield is the sister platform to the heavier and slightly
    lower teched Gantz.
    
    Thanks in part to unsatisfactory customer reviews, the Eyeshield was later reworked under
    the name "Project Devilbat" and given a new model designation number of 022.

Capabilities:
    While the reworked Eyeshield retained the Endo-steel internal skeleton and the 175 rated
    Standard Fusion Engine, thanks to the removal of the CASE protecting the 'Mech due to no
    longer having ammunition constraints, the standard armor was bumped up to have half a ton
    more protection, crucial to keep the now ammoless 'Mech in the fight as long as possible. To
    aid in this matter, it was decided to add in a MASC system to allow the 'Mech to reach even
    further speeds, at the addition to greater heat costs should a Pilot push the machine to its
    limits.
    
    The weapon rework for the 'Mech led the design team to, instead of relying on a LAC/2 and
    one ton of CASE protected ammunition, install a Light PPC as the chassis' main long range
    weapon. For back up weaponry should the 'Mech enter ranges unsuitable for the LPPC, or
    should the 'Mech encounter enemy infantry, a medium laser mounted in the head and a flamer
    mounted on the right arm were deemed suitable enough. And a somewhat fortuitously also
    provided a mirror loadout to its sister chassis the Gantz.

Variants:
    One potential lower tech refit proposed, the DSK-020, kept the Light PPC mounted in place of
    the LAC/2, but changed the skeletal structure of the 'Mech to standard make, and did not
    include a MASC system. This left one ton, as the half ton was still allocated to armor,
    would be allocated to a medium laser, as the weapon is both incredibly common in the Inner
    Sphere regardless of location, and still provides suitable striking power when in un-optimal
    range for the LPPC.
