Overview:
    Created to act as a forward scout element for heavier C3 equipped lances during the push for
    New Avalon, the PXH-9K was created by Kurita to make a relatively cheap refit package of the
    venerable chassis to allow for a majority of units to easily upgrade with only minimal
    hassle.

Capabilities:
    This particular variant of the Phoenix Hawk keeps the typical top ground speed of 97.75 km/h
    as well as the typical 180 meters jump distance on a standard engine to allow the 'Mech to
    keep in line with others of its chassis make. To allow the 'Mech to be well protected while
    still saving ample weight, 7 tons of Durrallex Extra-Light armor is used to great effect.
    Unusualy for the typical Phoenix Hawk arrangement, two of the standard jump jets are mounted
    in each side torso as standard, but the decision was made to mount the fifth and sixth of
    each jump jet in either leg, to allow the 'Mech some vertical maneuverability should the
    side torsos both be taken out.
    
    A Fusigon Shorttooth Light PPC and TAG are mounted on the right arm, to allow the 'Mech long
    range striking power as well as the ability to act as guidance for friendly artillery. Two
    Diverse Optics 25PX Medium X-Pulse lasers are mounted in the left hand to compliment the
    long ranged Light PPC as well as give the 'Mech ample striking ability as it closes in. To
    further allow the 'Mech the ability to continue the fight even as its side torsos are blown,
    a Diverse Optics Small Pulse Laser was mounted in the head. The piece of equipment the
    'Mech's redesign was created for, the C3 Slave computer, is mounted in the center torso, so
    that should the enemy wish for the 'Mech to stop sharing its targeting data they must put it
    out of the fight for good by coring it. To handle the strain of the heat intensive weaponry
    it mounts, the standard 10 engine mounted heatsinks were upgraded to double strength models.
