Pull ferro-fibrous, give it endo steel, and put the 3 tons into its armor. Heck, you could just add 2 tons armor and an ECM. Either way, the unit becomes tougher to kill, and the ECM makes it that much nastier at close ranges. |

Utter garbage. It has lots of firepower, but will almost never use it, much less hit ewth it. Slower than most Clan machines and the MASC is not going to help much (and will hurt a lot the moment it freezes the leg actuators). This is meant for second-line warriors, but uses heavy lasers- with no TC- and their mediocre marksmanship is going to get a lot worse when it overheats. Its weapons brackets are terrible. For some reason it uses ammo-weapons at long range- giving it a total of 8 shots and a heat output (at a full run) 20 points lower than what it can dissipate. Then it starts overheating as soon as it gets within medium range. At close range it overheats horribly- making this pig even slower and less accurate- luckily your LRM ammo will probably be long gone.
This is less useful than the Hunchback IIC, although it's armor and reliance on energy weapons gives it a longer lifespan. In a point-blank ambush it might come in handy, if someone else provides ECM cover. Otherwise, it's barely a match for IS mechs, let alone Clan. |

The close range knock out punch is impressive, but there's lots of clan 'mechs that could cut this to pieces at long range. The LRMs help, but won't save this if it gets into a long range duel with a Black Hawk A. You definitely need to cover this 'mech with something with long range firepower. |

I love this mech. The LRMs will scour the armor off the target, then the added kick of the heavy lasers will start cutting off biiiiig chunks of armor. The MASC will let you get in close very fast to use the lasers. A definite hunter-killer mech. |
