The RAC gives this Garm a serious punch well supported by its ER laser but beware of that 10 single heat sinks.
Despite carrying 1.5 tons of additional armor it is still lightly armored and in danger if attacked by medium-laser-heavy scout mechs or in serious trouble if attacked with a PPC or similar weapons.
Choose your pray carefully, gun it down with lots of AC/5 shells and prepare to retreat full speed as soon as your ammo bin runs dry (40 shots won't last long but maybe longer as its armor).

For its weight, the RAC/5 can deal out some impressive damage. While i never cared for the Garm before, I do approve of this variant. I also dislike RAC's but this design makes it seem more reasonable to me. I also like the reasonably low cost of this design as well. |

The RAC will put a hurtin' on any target this wants to mess with; just remember they can put a hurtin' on this with a lot less than an RAC. |

An average design because no RAC design ever has enough ammo for its gun. That fourty rounds of RAC ammo will go faster than you think in the defence of a city.
On the plus side this mech can positively whip a medium mech off the map in one round with a luck ripping volley of RAC 5 rounds. |

If I had to defend a city, I would want at least once lance of these bastards. The RAC can kick out damage comprable to the laser, and for less heat. Where as the laser can keep the mech in combat after the RAC is dry. The speed and jump jets make this thing a natural in cities. The armor is a bit on the thin side for its weight, keep that in mind. |
