The C3 variant of the -27U drops a single heat sink for a C3-slave.
Still its a sturdy Mech with some firepower in both of its range brackets but as all early Hatamoto`s DHS's would have been a much better solution for new production models.
In a C3-network its PPC`s would get the most benefit but in a close range fight with its pulse lasers it can relate precious targeting data back to its lance mates. |

Dumping the SRMs and ammo increases the survivability of this mech. The C3 slave is a good addition, letting this thing get in close to call down some LRM support. The standard PPCs are decent, in that they dont have the range of the ER models, but they also dont produce as much heat. The pulse lasers are almost par for the course when it comes to close in fighting, so no real shock that they are included on this model.
The use of a standard engine instead of an XL model means that this thing wont be dropping from engine hits or lucky shots early kin the fight. Id almost like to see this model with jump jets, but then something would have to be changed to include them, and Im not sure that this is a mech to be screwing with to that degree. |

This is a sensible way to get a C3 system on to the Hatamoto. Loosing the SRM ammo helps survivability too. |

The Hatamoto-Chi was always a pretty good 'Mech, but I don't know about this one. The PPCs paired with pulse lasers are good, but double heat sinks would help a great deal here, and upgrading the PPCs to ER wold be a great boon, but all in all, a good in-fighter. |
