Overview:
    Based on the burnt hulk of a BGS-1T Barghest, AST-1S Asterius was a passion project
    bankrolled by a Lyran noble, an eccentric connoisseur of Taurian culture.
    
    A gladiatorial beast, forged to storm the Solaris circuit with devastating 140kph charges,
    facilitated by MASC and a supercharger. It features a Reinforced skeleton, Impact-Resistant
    armor and massive, shoulder mounted, Spiked Ram plates.
    
    An articulated quartet of Clan ER Medium Lasers, rivaling Inner Sphere Large Lasers for
    range, allow strafing while two RL10 "horns" for mauling toppled foes complete the ranged
    arsenal.
    
    Clan-grade Laser AMS was incorporated, although the space dedicated to bulky armor and
    structure left scant room for proper integration.
    This plays havoc with advanced coordination systems when firing, following corrections in
    balance and posture for phantom missile impacts.
    
    Lag in solving for these computations can temporarily render Asterius incapable of making
    complex maneuvers or utilizing the MASC and/or supercharger.
    
    Despite the occasional decision paralysis, the mech is incredibly stable and well composed,
    with the foot surfaces featuring meticulously designed (and frequently replaced) high
    traction spiked treads.
    
    Spare segments of these treadplates are mounted across the mech for easy access.
