Overview:
    The BL-99-KNT is designed as a successor to the "Clanbuster" variant and reimagines the
    machine as a devastatingly brutal close-combat infighter designed to "spot" for C3-enabled
    lances.

Capabilities:
    The BL-99-KNT is a formidable machine designed to inflict maximum damage at close range. In
    one arm it carries a massive, flanged mace, which, when driven by the machine's Triple
    Strength Myomers, can smash even a medium mech to pieces in a single blow. In the other, a
    Large Pulse Laser provides a heavy punch, while a trio of Medium Pulse Lasers and Small
    Lasers rapidly flay armor from a victim. The addition of Jump Jets makes the machine even
    more dangerous in close combat due to its high mobility, as well as helping the machine
    rapidly close on difficult terrain. Like most of the immediate first wave designs created by
    the Word of Blake, the BL-99-KNT uses a modified head assembly which functions as an escape
    pod for both the pilot and the very expensive Improved C3 Computer mounted to the unit, with
    additional armored baffles around the main ejection systems due to the expected close combat
    role. Finally, a Guardian ECM system helps keep the unit's C3 link from being jammed,
    allowing it to fulfill its role more effectively.

Deployment:
    While theoretically quite capable, production of the BL-99-KNT was discontinued shortly
    after its inception, as live testing suggested that it simply would not be effective against
    the Clans anywhere except in urban or otherwise highly broken terrain, with its intended
    spotting role taken by much less expensive conventional vehicles.
