Overview:
    The Javelin IIC 3 is what came as a shock when revealed. The Sharks produced what was
    seemingly an Inner Sphere 'mech with only chassis to which the parts were mated beigh up to
    clan specs. The Sharks attempted to market it as an affordable variant to relatively popular
    Javelin IIC 2, but the 3 variant is just a pale shadow of it's forebearers. The variant was
    dubbed 'counterfeit' and the manufactured outrage followed by a smear campaign damaged Shark
    sales for decades. No amounts of punitive trials and legal battles seemed to kill the bad
    press till the literal rebranding when the Sharks returned to their Sea Fox identity later
    in 3100.

Capabilities:
    Beating under the IS Ferro fibrous skin the heart of the 'mech is, again, an Inner Sphere
    light engine, which the diamond sharks managed to procure without really having any
    meaningful utility for. The armament consists of Multiple Missile launcers backed up by a
    battery of clan ER small lasers. The chassis itself packs the clan integrated CASE, which
    makes the maintenance subtly dependent on clan supplies in spite of using overall mostly IS
    technology. The 'mech is overall weaker than fully clan variants, but still remains a
    credible threat for a machine barely skirting above the medium 'mech category border.

Deployment:
    While widely offered the Javelin IIC 3 is not particularly demanded, being more of a
    curiosity rather than a part of an integrated combat doctrine. It's close range potential
    made it rather popular in lighter gladiatorial cirlces with missiles, jump jets and beam
    weapons creating spectatular matches.

Notable MechWarriors:
    Xie Xie "Gremlin" Cao
    Miss Cao made a name for herself on Galatea with a 3 minute match that saw a devastation of
    a Hunchback IIC 4 where both 'mechs exhausted their ammo bins through constant wild firing.
    The performance was likened to a firework display with explosions and smoke filling the Mole
    Hill Valley that served as the arena. The spectacle saw everything from cat and mouse game
    at the start with an occasional LRM barrage to a brutal short range slug-fest with both
    combatants in the air slinging beams and projectiles in all directions. In the end miss Cao
    prevailed but the battle almost cost her everything.
