Overview:
    This is the production model of the CWC-X001 Rook and authorized for production by Kyalla
    Centralla based on reports from the use of the X001 with the Canopian Hunter CABs and the
    Wild Hunt, especially during the Liao Incursion.
    
    Considered the "Canopian" version, the RK-CW1p reflects the Rook's roots as a Canopian
    design made by the Canoveri, the Magistracy's Clan Wolverine adoptees. It remains a capable
    and hard hitting design, albeit less mobile than the X001 given its lack of jump jets and
    even if the priority recipients of Rooks will be Hunter CABs.

Capabilities:
    The most significant difference of the CW1p to its X001 forebear is its lack of jump jets.
    While her daughter Emma (who fields a "Royalized" version of the Rook) and the Wild Hunt
    prefer high mobility tactics, the CW1p is produced without jump jets. This not only makes
    the mech cheaper, but allows for more armor and heat sinks to be added, a tradeoff Kyalla
    Centralla preferred even given the deployment schedule for the Rook.
    
    The mech remains a good brawler. It still has respectable medium-weight speed, with a
    ceiling flank speed of 85 kph. The weapons loadout allows it to be effective in long and
    short ranges, with a PPC and LR5 rack to reach out to far targets and a medium laser in duet
    with an SR4 rack for closer opponents.
    
    To compensate for heats in those ranges while moving, 13 standard coolers are mounted on the
    CW1p. The mech is protected by 9.5 tons of armor.

Deployment:
    Approved for production in early 3030, the first CW1p Rooks reached the Hunter CABs of the
    MAF prior to the Andurien Crisis. Given the nature of the conflict and the state of the MAF
    at the time, the mech saw exclusive use with the Hunters then (the Aurigan Coalition used
    the Cormorant instead).
