Overview:
The AS7-CB/D is designed by the 8th son of petty Steiner nobility, Charles Brielmayer, after
he was driven to the Periphery due to poor financial decisions involving Solaris VII betting
and an attempt to oversell a Rotunda. After inheriting the AS7-D of his Great-Uncle who died
under mysterious circumstances, Charles took it upon himself to acquire then-experimental
technology to "upgrade" the time tested design. Using whatever money he had left, he
acquired a then-new MRM 40 and an LBX-20, hired the cheapest engineer on the market, and
bought enough booze to drink the both of them into a stupor. The AC7-CB/D was the result of
these weeks of drinking while operating heavy machinery.
Designed as a means to strip paint, armor, and dignity from its enemies in the shortest
amount of time possible, the AS7-CB/D had become infamous for running hotter than most other
Atlas variants, official or Periphery-tier scrap alike until enough money was scrounged up
to afford Double Heatsinks.
The most "effective" way to operate the AS7-CB/D is to fire both the MRM-40 and LBX-20 at
the target at the same time until all protection covering the structure are stripped away,
before the Medium Lasers fire away at the structure itself for a "clean" kill.
A non-sensical addition by Brielmayer was a single searchlight mounted to the Atlas' head.
When asked why this addition was made in an interview, Brielmayer stated that it was for,
"Use at late night parties, cookouts, barbeques, bar mitzvahs, weddings, ice cream socials,
tailgates, block parties, Christmas gatherings, Mardi Gras, monster truck rallies, and Urbie
Derbies. It's my favorite part of the machine."
It is a mystery how Charles Brielmayer is still alive, much less considered anywhere close
to competent as both a 'Mech designer or MechWarrior mercenary. Last known whereabouts of
Brielmayer as of time of writing was on Huntress, as one of the many mercenaries hired by
the newly formed SLDF for Task Force Serpent.
