Overview:
Conceived by the State of Kalyxa-5 as a more capable successor to its earlier budget combat
vehicles, the Juggernaut Light Tank JLT-35 is a 35-ton tracked combat vehicle intended for
allied governments, loyalist armored formations, and rebel armored contingents holding
strategic positions on behalf of State interests. Unlike lighter presence vehicles built
mainly to guard roads, depots, and checkpoints, the JLT-35 was designed as a bona fide tank:
compact, heavily armored, fusion-powered, and capable of advancing with armored columns as a
    true line unit.

The JLT-35 is built entirely from standard Inner Sphere technology, making it easier to
maintain and repair than more exotic machines while still offering a major improvement over
cheap internal-combustion militia armor. Its 140-rated fusion engine gives it a maximum
speed of 64.8 km/h, allowing the tank to keep pace with slower armored formations and
reposition more effectively than earlier State export vehicles. The fusion plant also
supplies the power needed for the tank’s turret-mounted PPC, giving the JLT-35 serious
direct-fire reach without reliance on ammunition for its primary weapon.

Protection remains central to the design. The JLT-35 carries 9.5 tons of standard armor, a
heavy armor load for a 35-ton vehicle, backed by CASE protection for its SRM ammunition.
This makes the tank unusually survivable for its size and cost. While it cannot match a
BattleMech’s mobility or flexibility, the JLT-35 is armored and armed well enough to stand
toe to toe against lighter ’Mechs under favorable conditions, especially when deployed in
prepared positions or as part of a coordinated armored force.

Capabilities:
The JLT-35 mounts its entire weapons package in a fully rotating turret. A PPC provides
hard-hitting medium- and long-range direct fire, allowing the tank to threaten light
’Mechs, combat vehicles, and hardened battlefield positions with a single heavy energy
weapon. An SRM-4 launcher gives the vehicle additional short-range punch once the enemy
closes, while the turret arrangement allows the crew to maintain fire across a wide arc
    without constantly repositioning the hull.

The tank’s 1-ton cargo and comfort allowance gives it a roomier interior than many budget,
though well-built, combat vehicles. This space is fitted for crew endurance, personal
stowage, ration storage, and compact sanitation facilities, allowing the crew to remain
deployed at strategic locations for extended periods. For allied commanders and rebel
armored units operating away from major bases, this made the JLT-35 especially valuable: it
was not merely an armored turret on tracks, but a practical field tank that could hold
ground, move with armor, and remain operational through long deployments.

Deployment:
The JLT-35 was supplied to State-aligned allies, frontier governments, loyalist militias,
and rebel armored contingents tasked with holding strategic locations. Its combination of
heavy armor, CASE protection, fusion reliability, and PPC firepower made it a major step
above cheaper militia vehicles while remaining far less expensive than a BattleMech. In
service, it was often used as a compact line tank, defensive anchor, convoy escort, and
    strongpoint vehicle.

Crews appreciated the JLT-35’s survivability, roomy interior, and hard-hitting PPC, while
commanders valued its ability to give under-equipped forces a credible armored core. It was
no longer simply a symbol of military presence. Properly deployed, the JLT-35 could fight as
part of an armored advance, hold a contested position, and force lighter BattleMechs to
treat it as a serious battlefield threat.
