Overview:
The starting sentence should therefore read: "Coventry Metal Works (then known as Coventry
Defense Conglomerate) produced the Commando as one of the Commonwealth's first homegrown
entries into the newly created industry of BattleMech design and manufacture. Far lighter
than most contemporary units, the Commando was also the Lyran Commonwealth's first bona fide
reconnaissance BattleMech."[39]
In 2463, Coventry Metal Works, then known as Coventry Defense Conglomerate, introduced their
second BattleMech: the COM-1A Commando, designed by Andre Barcalow. Created for the Lyran
Commonwealth Armed Forces and one of the first 'Mechs ever designed for reconnaissance, the
Commando was much lighter and faster than its precursors, though it still utilized primitive
BattleMech technology. The Commando was able to destroy much heavier Kuritan Gladiators
during the first large-scale battle between BattleMechs in 2475 on Nox.[11]
The installed large laser caused several problems and soon other 'Mechs, such as the Wasp in
2464 and the Stinger in 2479, were introduced that were better equipped for scouting and
even mounted jump jets. The Commando's profile was radically changed with the introduction
of the sophisticated COM-2D variant in 2486, which exchanged the laser weaponry with short
range missiles and turned the machine into a striker.
With only four tons of armor to protect itself, the Commando is not meant to participate in
a stand-up fight against heavier enemies, but it excels at hit-and-run tactics and as a
scout hunter.[10]
The Commando became popular among LCAF forces and, nearly 600 years later, is still mainly
in use by Lyrans. The Commonwealth went to great pains to keep the 'Mech solely in Lyran
hands, especially during the years of the Star League; it took an alliance with the
Federated Suns and the creation of the Federated Commonwealth to break the stranglehold. The
Commando was chosen as the standard light BattleMech for the Armed Forces of the Federated
Commonwealth next to the Valkyrie, and after the upgrade to the COM-5S model in 3050,
Vandenberg Mechanized Industries was allowed to produce the old COM-2D for the Taurian
Defense Force.[12] Over the Succession Wars, the Commando ended up in the hands of numerous
mercenary companies as well, resulting in a proliferation of 2D refits, commonly called the
-7 series.[13] Furthermore, the Marian Hegemony deploys the rocket launcher-packed COM-4H,
and the Word of Blake produced its own COM-7B variant during its occupation of Coventry from
3068 to 3074.[citation needed]
Capabilities:
With only four tons of armor to protect itself, the Commando is not meant to participate in
a stand-up fight against heavier enemies, but it excels at hit-and-run tactics and as a
scout hunter.[10]
The standard COM-2D Commando carries two different SRM launchers, a Coventry SRM-4 and a
Shannon Six Shooter SRM-6, with a shared reserve of 180 missiles. The secondary weapon is a
Defiance B3M medium laser, produced by Defiance Industries on Hesperus II.[14] This weapons
load can cause a lot of damage for a light 'Mech and makes the Commando an effective
striker, especially when used in groups. An often-used tactic for those is to rush upon a
single target, concentrate their fire and retreat before the enemy can offer effective
resistance. The COM-2D's communication gear, Crystal Flower RG-2, as well as the Star Shark
targeting system were produced by TharHes on Tharkad.[10]
This particular Model sports a Photon Phantom MK III Improved Particle Projection Cannon
(Imp. PPC) on the Right Arm, and a Firecracker MK III Nova Improved Heavy Small Laser, it
also has a Nova CEWs and a (Clan-Grade) Recon Camera and a Search Light mounted in the PPC,
alng with a (Clan-Grade) Combat Targeting Computer, and it also sports 6 Clan Coyote
Leapers, giving it a way to jump or run away , it has a blazing 129.6 kph [81 mph] speed
along with a astounding 180 meter jumping capacity and a Chameleon LPS to help hiding it
till it is ready to strike.
Design Quirks:
The Commando has the following Design Quirks:[36]

3068 to 3074.[citation needed]
Variants:
COM-1A:
The original Commando used prototype equipment that was similarly primitive to those found
in the first BattleMech, the Mackie, and was completely replaced by its successor. First
constructed in 2463, the 'Mech was equipped with only an Odin large laser mounted in its
right arm. It was fitted with five tons of primitive armor and the engine could move the
'Mech up to a maximum speed around 80 km/h. These were the early Commandos that took part in
the Battle of Nox in 2475 against Draconis Combine forces.
BV (2.0) = 475.[15]
COM-1AK:
Created by Wechsel Royal Industrial Repair and Heavy Machining on Kaumberg, this retrotech
Commando variant replaces the large laser of the COM-1A with a medium laser in each arm
supported by a head-mounted small laser. The remaining tonnage is devoted to additional
armor, for a total of seven and a half tons.[16]
BV (2.0) = 533[17]
COM-1B:
Because the idea of a Commando that was armed, like its ancestor, with a longer-ranged large
laser appealed to many MechWarriors, Lyran engineers developed the COM-1B in 3015. This
variant wielded a large laser and an SRM-2 in addition to the medium laser. To make space
for these changes, the engineers had to remove the SRM-6 launcher. However, this variant was
short-lived.[12]
BV (2.0) = 616[18]
COM-1C:
This version removed all the missile racks and replaced them with an AC/2 with one ton of
ammunition. It appears to have been an experiment in providing direct fire support.
BV (2.0) = 458[19]
COM-1D:
The 1D variant that appeared in 2480 exists as the transition from the COM-1A to the -2D and
has maintained a regular, but low-profile existence throughout the Commando's history. It
fields a large laser and an SRM-6 rack, but only three tons of armor.[2][10]
BV (2.0) = 558[20]
COM-2Dr:
This Jihad-era update of the old COM-2D drops all of the existing weaponry and replaces it
with a CASE-protected MML-7 and a single ER medium laser.[21]
BV (2.0) = 563[22]
COM-3A:
The COM-3A carries two SRM-6 launchers, a medium laser and a flamer. This was accomplished
by removing the SRM-4 launcher and lowering the amount of armor on the 'Mech by one ton.
This variant appeared in 3025 and became quite popular because of its hitting power.[2][10]
BV (1.0) = 392;
BV (2.0) = 540[20]
COM-4H:
The Marian Hegemony 4H variant of the Commando is used in the Periphery and removes all of
the SRM launchers and replaces them with six RL-15s as well as a second medium laser.
BV (1.0) = 628; BV (2.0) = 691[23]
COM-5S:
The COM-5S was introduced in 3050 and was the first mass-produced Commando to feature
recovered Star League technology. Its new Cyclops MultiTasker 10 targeting system links an
Artemis IV Fire Control System to the Coventry 90m SRM-6, which replaces the Shannon
Six-Shooter, and exchanges the SRM-4 with a Coventry T4H Streak SRM-2 launcher.
Additionally, the chassis has been upgraded with endo steel, the armor has been upgraded to
ferro-fibrous, and CASE has been added to protect the ammunition. The variant is also
equipped with a new communications system called Cyclops 14.[12]
BV (1.0) = 504; BV (2.0) = 557[24]
COM-7S:
This update of the COM-5S introduced in 3064[25] is also built on an endo steel chassis, but
uses a new light fusion engine. The 'Mech carries two Streak SRM-2 launchers, an SRM-4 with
an Artemis IV Fire Control System, and a pair of ER medium lasers.[12]
BV (1.0) = 549;[26] BV (2.0) = 658[27]
COM-7A:
Initially a refit, made an official Coventry Metal Works production variant after its
successful use by Task Force Serpent on Huntress, the endo steel-structured 7A maximizes
armor. Two SRM-4 packs with two tons of CASE-protected ammo are accompanied by a medium
laser.
BV (2.0) = 625[13]
COM-7B:
Following the conquest of Coventry by the Word of Blake, the Jihadists modified the 7S to
meet their specifications. The 7B keeps one ER medium laser in the left arm, but adds two
flamers to it, making the 7B a lethal threat to unarmored infantry. A small cockpit makes
room for two SRM-4s, which are still fed by a CASE-protected ammunition bin. The weight
savings enabled engineers to add one additional ton of armor and enough jump jets to rocket
the Commando up to 120 meters at a time.[12]
BV (2.0) = 602[28]
COM-7J:
Initially a refit, made an official Coventry Metal Works production variant after its
successful use by Task Force Serpent on Huntress, the endo steel-structured 7J features jump
jets. Two SRM-4 packs with two tons of CASE-protected ammo are accompanied by a medium
laser.
BV (2.0) = 599[13]
COM-7T "Blazing Inferno II":
Originating in the Civil War era and popularized decades later, the 7T carries an extensive
array of lasers — four Defiance Model XII ER mediums, 5 Diverse Optics ER smalls, and a
single Ompec-J small laser — supported by only eleven double heat sinks. Triple-strength
myomer allows it to use its heat to its advantage.
BV (2.0) = 1,018 [13]
COM-7W:
Initially a refit, made an official Coventry Metal Works production variant after its
successful use by Task Force Serpent on Huntress, the endo steel-structured 7W is laden with
ammunition for sustained use. A streak SRM-2 pack with one ton of ammo and a SRM-4 pack with
two tons are supported by two medium lasers.
BV (2.0) = 608[13]
COM-7X:
One of several common mercenary refits of the 2D that arose out of the Succession Wars, the
7X replaces the SRM-4 with two additional medium lasers and an extra ton of SRM-6 ammo.
BV (2.0) = 623[13]
COM-7Y:
One of several common mercenary refits of the 2D that arose out of the Succession Wars, the
7Y replaces the SRM-4 with two additional medium lasers and an extra ton of armor.
BV (2.0) = 684[13]
COM-7Y2 "Blazing Inferno":
Particularly popular among the common mercenary refits of the 2D that arose out of the
Succession Wars, saving money on ammunition, the 7Y2 replaces both SRM packs with an extra
ton of armor and an expanded array of lasers. Six small lasers and four medium lasers are
spread across the 'Mech, supported by only the ten base heat sinks.
BV (2.0) = 728[13]
COM-7Z:
A 2D refit integrating newly recovered CASE, the 7Z couples it with 5.5 tons of armor for
durability. It carries two medium lasers and an SRM-6 pack.
BV (2.0) = 661[13]
COM-7Z2:
A subvariant of the 7Z, the 7Z2 lacks CASE and carries two small lasers, an SRM-6 pack, and
a Beagle Active Probe.
BV (2.0) = 543[13]
COM-8S:
This version of the Commando uses an endo steel chassis and XL engine that propels it to a
maximum of 110 km/h. It carries a pair of Streak SRM-2 launchers in the right arm, fed by a
CASE II-protected bay, and a pair of ER medium lasers in the left arm. A C3 boosted slave
allows the Commando to share targeting data with friendly forces, and a supercharger allows
it to reach speeds of 140 km/h in short bursts.
BV (2.0) = 775[29]
COM-9S:
Based off the chassis of the 8S, the 9S changes the normally short-ranged Commando into a
long-range harasser, removing the C3 boosted slave and existing weaponry for a pair of torso
mounted MML-3 racks to emulate the standard SRM-6 of earlier models whilst providing LRM
fire, generally carrying a ton of each missile type. The usual medium laser of the Commando
is replaced with a longer-ranged light PPC, with a pair of Improved One Shot SRM-2s being
the sole exclusively short-range weapons.[30]
BV (2.0) = 719[31]
Custom Variants:
COM-1A Commando De Salva:
Piloted by Raul "Diesel" De Salva of Colby's Commandos, this primitive 'Mech's powerplant
was upgraded to a standard fusion engine, with an SRM-6 added to the left forearm.[32]
COM-7S2 Commando Freyr:
The personal 'Mech of ex–Arcturan Guards member-turned-treacherous Hunter's Paradise guide
Zvi Freyr, his Commando has been extensively modified with both Clan and experimental
technologies. Retaining only the endo steel chassis and CASE of his formerly stock COM-5S
model, Freyr has replaced the standard weapons with lighter Clan-tech systems, including two
Streak SRM-4 launchers in its right arm with a single ton of reloads and a pair of ER medium
lasers mounted in the left arm. The use of a small cockpit and a salvaged Clan extralight
engine save enough weight to switch to double strength heat sinks, as well as carry six jump
jets and seven tons of hardened armor.
BV (2.0) = 1,155[33]
Apocryphal Variants:
From MechWarrior 5: Heroes of the Inner Sphere Expansion Pack:
COM-2P:
This variant of the Commando has an SRM-4 mounted in the center torso, a medium laser in the
left arm, and an SRM-4 in the right arm. It uses the ton saved to mount a MASC system.[34]
From MechWarrior Online Legends:
COM-TDK Death's Knell:
Named after the silver-colored Commando 'Mech of the same name piloted by Captain Bono
Duganmare of the Twenty-second Skye Rangers,[35] whilst Captain Duganmare and his 'Mech are
canonical, the 'Mech's exact configuration was not mentioned in the original source,
suggesting it would be an unmodified standard model. The Hero 'Mech variant presented by
MechWarrior Online removes the weapon loadout of the COM-2D and replaces it with four medium
lasers, two mounted in each arm. The additional four tons freed up with the removal of the
COM-2D's original weapon suite are devoted to an upgraded 175-rated fusion engine, double
heat sinks, and a half-ton of additional armor; it should be noted that within the time
period described by the original source, Technical Readout: 3025, double heat sinks were not
available.
COM-D03:
A MWO exclusive variant first introduced as a free Christmas 2023 gift for active players,
the D03 is built around a 175-rated standard engine boosted by MASC, ferro-fibrous armor and
an endo steel frame. Fitted with a small cockpit and a swap to double heat sinks supports an
all energy weapon loadout - two medium lasers in the head and three small lasers in the
center torso.
{Special Notes:)
The 7Y and 7Y2 "Blazing Inferno" originate from BattleTech: The Crescent Hawks' Inception,
in which they were field modifications of the COM-2D prepared by techs on Chara III.
The 7X originates from MechWarrior 2: Mercenaries, in which it was the player's starting
'Mech.
The 7A, 7J, and 7W are based on the MechCommander A, J, and W variants.
The 7Z and 7Z2 are Crescent Hawks' Revenge variants, and the 7Z shares a weapon loadout with
the BattleTech: Firestorm Commando.
Related BattleMechs:
Commando IIC
The remnants of the Star League Defense Force did take a few Commandos with them on their
exodus. Clan Goliath Scorpion later upgraded these 'Mechs with Clan technology, creating the
Commando IIC.[37]

Notable MechWarriors:
Victor Doth:
MechWarrior Victor Doth was a member of the Third Lyran Guards during the Fourth Succession
War and War of 3039.[1][2][3]
Personal
Died 3039
Affiliation Lyran Commonwealth
History
Doth fought on Vega during the Fourth Succession War, and lost his assault 'Mech during the
retreat by Lyran forces from that world. Subsequently reassigned to a light 'Mech, he
expressed a disdain for his new lighter equipment, and constantly sought to fight assault
'Mechs in order to try to capture a heavier ride and improve his unit's chances should they
ever return to Vega.
While he never managed to acquire a new assault 'Mech, his unit did return to Vega during
the War of 3039, where he died during the bitter fighting.[1][2][3]
BattleMech
Doth piloted a BNC-3E Banshee BattleMech, which was lost during on Vega during the Fourth
Succession War, and the later a COM-3A Commando until his death in the War of 3039.[1][2][3]

Bono Duganmare:
Bono Duganmare was a notable Lyran Commonwealth MechWarrior during the Third and Fourth
Succession Wars.
Personal Affiliation Lyran Commonwealth
Rank Kommandant
Profession MechWarrior
History
Commander of a company in the Twenty-second Skye Rangers as of 3025, Duganmare had the
unenviable task of training inexperienced warriors and licking them into shape. Quick and
demanding, Duganmare constantly moved about the training field in his silver-painted
Commando named Death's Knell cajoling his men to work harder, and if that failed, abruptly
delivered a boot to a trainee 'Mech's backside.[1] [2]
In battle, though concerned about his men's welfare, Duganmare knew enough to let them do
their jobs with great tactical expertise. While not a flashy hero with many kills to his
name, Duganmare had earned the respect of both the men that served under him as well his
superiors in the Twenty-Second, who treat him as a valuable resource. The Lyran Commonwealth
Armed Forces High Command also agreed, with Duganmare transferred to head up the light
BattleMech training program at the prestigious Nagelring on Tharkad after the Fourth
Succession War.[1] [2]
BattleMechs
Bono primarily piloted a Commando BattleMech, specifically the Death's Knell.[1]

Affiliation Pirate
Career
Profession MechWarrior
History
Following his desertion from the Arcturan Guards, Zvi Freyr from 3071 pretended to act as a
guide for Lyran tourists on Hunter's Paradise seeking to hunt the Gladstone Dragon in hired
ForestryMechs, who he later robbed and killed. By the time Freyr disappeared from Hunter's
Paradise later in the 3070s, it was reported that more than sixteen wealthy Lyran tourists
were lost as part of this criminal enterprise. He used salvage and money from those
endeveaurs to purchase the upgrades on his BattleMech.[1]
BattleMech
Zvi Freyr piloted an extensive modified scarlet-painted COM-7S2 Commando "Freyr"
BattleMech.[1]

Stationed on Gallery when the Seventeenth Wolf Guard Striker Cluster assaulted the planet in
3143 As the battle turned against the Commonwealth, Keller apparently saw her window for
evacuation close. She challenged Wolf MechWarrior Halsey to a Trial of Possession for safe
passage off Gallery and to Tharkad. Expecting Keller's Commando to be missile-based he
equipped his Mist Lynx with several Anti-Missile Systems, only to be caught off guard with
Keller's laser-based "Blazing Inferno II" variant.[1][2]
BattleMech
Keller piloted a COM=7T Commando "Blazing Inferno II".[1]
Notes
Kellers unit is not given, but as defending units on Gallery were the Eighth Donegal Guards
and Bolan Province Militia, she likely belonged to either of those.

Grady Kiefer:
A small-time mercenary MechWarrior, Grady Kiefer would come out of nowhere to fight in the
arenas of the Solaris Games to become the 3049 "Champion of Solaris".[1] [2]
Career
Profession MechWarrior,
Arena Gladiator
History
A member of Team Venom, its destruction by the Draconis Combine in 3044 forced Kiefer to
subcontract to Hansen's Roughriders despite inheriting the unit's funds.[3][4]
As of 3049, Grady Kiefer was a young mercenary in command of a small-time and virtually
unknown lance sized unit. Kiefer would likely remained as unknown as his unit had it not
been for the Solaris Gaming Commission developing a novel solution to Solaris VII's Class
Six arenas requiring major refurbishment resulting in reduced viewership and revenues - that
year's Solaris Championship would be a three-week, single-elimination tournament open to all
comers and hosted in a variety of Class Five arenas across Solaris.[2][4]
Deciding to try his luck along with hundreds of Great House soldiers and other mercenaries
from across the Inner Sphere, the unranked Grady Kiefer entered the championship at
seventy-five-to-one odds only to defeat all comers in "Death or Glory", "Neon Grid",
"4-Cross", "Laserclasm", "Death Dance", "Black Pit" and "Iron Skull Mountain" to become the
3049 Grand Champion.[2]
Kiefer ultimately chose not to defend his title in 3050 to resume his mercenary career,
opting instead to accept contracts that would unwittingly place him right in the path of the
attacking Clan invaders where he became stranded in the Occupation Zone and formed an
alliance with the surviving pirates of the Oberon Confederation.[2][4]
Ludo van Cassias of the Solaris Gaming Commission would cite Kiefer as his choice for the
ultimate dark horse Champion to fight in the Solaris Games when interviewed by Interstellar
News Network.[2]
BattleMechs
Kiefer piloted a COM-7X Commando.[4]

Sven "Manne" Mansberg was a MechWarrior in the Florida Timbuktu Theater Militia.
Personal
Alias(es) "Manne"
Affiliation Lyran Commonwealth
History
Born to the Nordic enclave on Viborg, "Manne" Mansberg joined the Florida TTM in time fight
in the Battle of Ayacucho in 3147. Both the new recruit and the COM-9S Commando he piloted
had their flexability put to the test during the fighting. As the battle settled into a
stalemate, Manne was able to employ his speed and range to scout troop positions and even
inflict damage when feasible.[1]
BattleMech
Manne piloted a COM-9S Commando.[1]

Rex Pearce:
Rex Pearce was a MechWarrior and a member of the Crescent Hawks. He was also an old friend
of Jeremiah Youngblood.
Personal
Born 2982[1]
Affiliation Crescent Hawks
Career
Rank Lieutenant[1]
Profession MechWarrior
Family
Children Jen Pearce[2]
History
Rex Pearce was living a sort of retirement in Pacifica when Draconis Combine forces invaded
the world and quickly joined forces with Jason Youngblood. The Kurita raid appeared to be
aimed at a hidden Star League depot full of valuable spare parts which Jeremiah Youngblood
had recently uncovered. To bypass the security systems and enter the depot, they needed both
Pearce's retina scan and a password which was recorded on a holo-disc that Jeremiah left for
Jason. Unfortunately, before the disc could be viewed it was damaged in a shootout with
enemy forces.
Jason and Pearce proceeded to visit numerous towns, follow leads and fight enemy infantry
and BattleMechs. They reactivated other Crescent Hawk agents and recruited several former
members of the unit into their team, including bailing one member out of jail. The group
finally sought out Dr. Edward Tellhim, a queer and reclusive scientist who only spoke to
them after they answered a number of scientific questions. After that Dr. Tellhim repaired
the holodisc and pointed them to the entrance of the Star League depot. Jason Youngblood
entered the complex alone.[3]
Afterwards, Rex Pearce was made second-in-command and executive officer of the Crescent
Hawks.[4] He participated in the unit's decision to support the Kell Hounds in their
vendetta against House Kurita. They arrived at Lyons in April 3029 in the middle of a Kurita
attack and their Leopard-class DropShip was shot down by aerospace fighters. The subsequent
crash landing in a lake destroyed the Hawks' DropShip. Saved by Rick "Grease" Anderson, the
pilot of a Jenner, they were able to retrieve their 'Mechs from the wrecked DropShip, which
then sank to the bottom of the lake.
Asked to hold a nearby bridge across the lake to ensure that the invaders did not overrun
the Kell Hound base, they were able to repulse Kuritan attacks until they could finally
withdraw to the Kell Hounds base. Upon arriving at the base, the Crescent Hawks learned from
Kell Hounds Captain Kaitlin Shaw that the base defenses had been breached and infantry
squads were entering the base. Sergeant Krall was sent to retrieve valuable Listen-Kill
Missiles in a hovertruck to prevent them from falling into enemy hands. Jason Youngblood
assumed command of the truck and Rex Pearce and Kurt Graham piloted a pair of UrbanMechs to
guard the hovertruck against infantry attacks while it collected the L-K ammo (first SRMs,
then LRMs).
After the Kuritans were expelled from Lyons, the Crescent Hawks traveled to Dieron to rescue
Jeremiah Youngblood. Pearce followed Jason there, where they successfully rescued Jeremiah.
Starting in April 3039, Rex Pearce fought the with the Crescent Hawks during the War of
3039.[2] Following the war, Pearce retired from military service.[2]
BattleMechs
Rex Pearce primarily piloted a COM-1D Commando which he later converted to the "Blazing
Inferno" configuration.[5][4]

Larry Schuester:
Larry Schuester was an instructor for the Coventry CPM.[1]
Personal
Affiliation Lyran Commonwealth
Career
Rank Hauptmann[1]
Profession MechWarrior
Family
Spouse Gloria Schuester
Children At least two
History
Schuester was on detached duty from the Twenty-fourth Lyran Guards to Coventry in order to
assist in refit and training of the Province Militia. He arrived on Coventry around
mid-January 3068. While he recognized the Militia had potential he had doubts they'd
actually be able to deliver, a fact he stated in several HPGs back home to his family. That
all changed in March when the Word of Blake struck the planet in the opening moves of the
Jihad. The intitial engagements saw Schuester shot out of two heavier ’Mechs, forcing him
to pilot a recovered COM-7S Commando. The Blakists threw a lot at the Militia, from orbital
bombardments to orbital ’Mech insertions but each time the Militia surprised Schuester by
regrouping and maintaining fire discipline. Adopting the name 'Schuester's Sunday Soldiers"
from a derogatory remark one of Schuester's contemporaries had made regarding the Militia,
the group formed a resistance group. They were last seen in late 3071 staging a raid on a
POW camp near the ruins of Port Lawrence.[1][2]
BattleMech
Larry Schuester was most noted for piloting a COM-7S Commando nicknamed Gloria, after his
wife.[1][2]
Quotes
“ What did that ass Walker call the CPM? Sunday soldiers? Well, it’s been a month of
Sundays ever since the hostiles hit.[2]”

Cynth Tulmani::
Cynth Tulmani was a member of Winfield's Guards during the Third Succession War.[1]
Personal
Affiliation Lyran Commonwealth
Career
Profession MechWarrior[1]
Family
Siblings Lewan Tulmani
History
Cynth was part of a brother-and-sister scout team in Winfield's Guards.
While on Sevren in 3011, she and her brother, Lewan Tulmani, were the only survivors of a
detachment of Winfield's Guards after a Kuritan attack. With both of their BattleMechs
heavily damaged from the attack, they traveled at night to avoid detection while searching
for an area still held by the Lyran Commonwealth. Upon reaching a city still held by allied
forces, they witnessed the landing of the 2nd Donegal Guards on Sevren. Both of the
Tulmani's would immediately volunteer, with little in the way of repairs to themselves or
their machines, to help lead the Donegal forces through the unfamiliar countryside to strike
back against the Combine invaders.
To this day, scouts in the Winfield's Guards wear the green tartan strip of the Donegal
Guards in honor of the Tulmani's courage.[1]
