This beast is awesome! If you charge an enemy over an open plain as soon as he shows up with a lance of Wasps you´re a fool. Choose your hidingplace carefully, keep the enemy "Wasps" busy with some of your other mechs and wait till worthwhile prey shows up. Even after you charge out of cover your speed and that ER-PPC will make you a valuable asset. Use woods, hills and buildings to guard your approach. If MASC is to risky for you try a city-fighter version that drops it and the AMS for half a ton of armor and 3 JJ´s. (Or 4 JJ´s if you drop the ECM too.) |

Why do some people seem to get mesmorized by 100 ton mechs with hachets? I read an article online once on the subject of physical attacks in BattleTech where the author had a good quote: "Even if you get your 20 point hachet attack in once, you won't twice." That being said, any opponent with half a brain is going to maul this thing with a lance of Locusts and keep the big boys out of its way. Why should I field this trash heap when I can field a much more useful mech like the Devastator or Thunderhawk (both of which have twice the firepower of the Berserker) ?
By the way, the flamer in the head makes this mech looks like one of those robot dinosaurs that eat cars at monster truck rallys. |

A little overrated in my book, but nevertheless, a big axe chopping down heavies and assaults makes my day. |

A potent attacker, keep the enemy very close and your short range weaponary will do the most. A 100 tonner will attract a lot of attention if spotted early so make sure you plan your approach carefully. The Large Pulses do cover her well but the armour will get ripped to shreds if enemy can pool their firepower.
The Beserker makes an excellent ambusher or urban fighter where its weapons |

first i would sit in hide till my enemy moved in close. i would not wast my time with infantry light Mechs or vehicals with beast.... unless i can aford to whast the time. second i would run up on them with MASC than bring the hatchet down.next move MASC and stick the ax to the back..... or you can drop the MASC add TSM over heat than bring a 40 damage ax to them. |
