Overview:
    In the years following the Blackout, Clan Jade Falcon began a series of aggressive campaigns
    against states neighboring its occupation zone, starting with its "Desant" invasion
    of the Republic of the Sphere in 3134. In the wake of these attacks, word began to spread of
    a number of innovative new totemic 'Mech designs being utilized by the Jade Falcon
    touman, leveraging partial wing systems to increase their aerial mobility. Despite
    being far removed from these events, officials at Baal Defense Solutions in the Federated
    Suns were sufficiently intrigued by these reports that efforts were made to gather extensive
    combat footage and even samples of wreckage for analysis by their design teams. The LWM-3D
    Lindwyrm would soon thereafter begin life as a testbed for reverse engineering these
    Jade Falcon 'Mechs, utilizing a partial wing in combination with six Baal Defense
    Aethersprite improved jump jets to squeeze a 210 meter jump distance out of the GM 300 XL
    fusion engine which powered the 75 ton machine. An advanced albeit relatively modest
    energy-based weapons loadout armed the 'Mech, consisting of a Baal Defense Viperfang 366
    large variable-speed pulse laser and four Clan-grade Baal Defense Blood Diamond 440CX
    extended-range medium lasers, all tethered to a four-ton enhanced targeting suite.
    
    While it would remain merely a testbed platform for the first several years of its
    existence, BDS would eventually decide to showcase the Lindwyrm at the 3145 New
    Avalon Arms Expo, where it generated enough interest from AFFS officials present at the
    event to secure BDS a limited-run provisional trial contract for the machine. The first
    lance of new units produced under the contract would be delivered to the 2nd Avalon Hussars
    LCT on Ingress in May of 3146.
