Overview:
    Starting life as a standard Kallon 8D model, the 8D-C is a highly capable cavalry/raider.
    Salvaged during the Jihad by the Demons Cutthroats, The original cored out Inner Sphere
    extra light engine was replaced with a light model and keeping the original jump jets,
    double heat sinks, endo-steel internals, and electronics, the weapons load out was changed.
    Now mounting a Clan grade large pulse laser in the right arm, clan medium pulse laser in the
    head mount, and finally a pair of clan medium pulse lasers in the left arm.  Filling out the
    original missile bay is a clan ATM-6 with a two ton Clan CASE Protected ammo bay.  The MASC
    system was removed, and the armor improved to eleven tons.

Capabilities:
    Now mounting a majority of pulse lasers mated to the Inner Sphere targeting computer the
    Wolverine is now extremely accurate, and able to stay in the field for longer periods with
    only the missile system needing reloading when it runs dry.

Deployment:
    While rearmed with weapons mostly acquired during raids against the clans prior to the
    Jihad, the mech has mainly served within the Cutthroats until recently. in early 3144 the
    Cutthroats were absorbed into the Shadow Walkers cementing a relationship that had been
    going strong since 3067.  Many of the Shared experiences of the two commands and he massive
    losses they incurred holding out against the Word had formed a close bond between the 2
    units.  With limited work and pay from staying out on the Periphery a command merge seemed
    the best way to stave off both commands dissolution.  Now the mechs serves in the Third
    Battalion, the Cutthroats, in a cavalry lance

Notable MechWarriors:
    Originally salvaged and rebuilt by Alvin Whitehouse, an astech and reserve pilot in the
    Cutthroats, the mech has been driven by one of his descendants ever since. The current pilot
    Sgt Ivan Whitehouse frequently helps the support staff keep the mech in top working
    condition, usually doing the weapons repairs and tune ups himself.
