Seems to be one of that 3050 style upgrades. Put in some fancy high tech weapons and forget about the rest.
This upgrade is easy to do even in the field but what do you get? Some more range for the main weapon is a good idea as is the increased accuracy of the shortrange weaponry but on the other side you loose some prescious close up firepower and you are able to overtax that single heat sinks in no time. |

Though its supposed to be an upgrade, I personally just dont see it. The Pulse lasers are a waste. and the ER Large is going to tax the HS, meaning a lower rate of fire. The standard Medium should have stayed, they were just to good to get rid of. A True upgrade should have been dropping 4 HS for DHS, adding a second ton of ammo, so it could play with the different ammo types. And then adding some electronics. All in all still one of my favorite mechs but just not in this configuration. |

I consider losing the 4 medium lasers for 2 medium pulses a bad choice. The mech had the HS for 4 mediums and they should rightfully stay.
Now if it had FF armor and DHS it will deserve a much better rating, since those free tonnage can make this design alot better. |

The ER large is nice, and this has the heat sinks to fire it. The LRMs are the same. Nicely armored, acceptable speed. This isn't a bad 'Mech, but the old one is better. Losing four medium lases for two medium pulse lasers just doesn't work out. To little damage, too little range. If this went back to the four medium lasers, it would deserve a much higher rating. |

Going to pulse lasers doesn't really help this 'mech too much. The ER large was the obvious way to go though. |
