The gauß rifle/ER laser combo gives it tremendous ranged firepower but the pulse laser is somewhat useless here.
You have to decide to shoot it or the ER laser or if you shoot both you´ll get enough heat to slow down.
To mount 11 single heat sinks while carrying an ER large laser is really shortsighted. |

The lack of double heat sinks on this mech is baffling. That oversight doesn't even make sense. The mech has good long range firepower with the gauss and decent speed to get into position for a shot. The pulse laser is nice as a fallback but I think I would rather trade 1 medium pulse for 2 medium lasers. |

A solid sniper, but the XL engine and lack of jump jets means you don't want to get into a close range slug fest. |

This variant wins the Sniper's award. But, in close its going to get abused because the single heat sinks aren't enough.
I'd like it more if it managed double heat sinks and another back up weapon somehow. |

Not a bad design. Billed as a contender against the Nova omnimech, this boy comes fairly close to the clan mech in abilities.
The gauss rifle is nice, letting this boy damage bigger mechs before they can bring their oodles of mid range weapons to bear. The gauss is paired fairly nicely with the ER laser, and the two dont generate too much heat for the heat sinks.
The one medium pulse laser seems to be not much for close in defense, and forces the mech to rely on the high-heat ER laser.
Seeing as how this has single heat sinks only, Im not sure that the ER laser is such a good idea for this mech to rely on. Maybe a standard large laser....
The armor on this thing is about what you would expect for a medium weight mech. Meaning that it can handle one good shot with out much risk of a critical, but anything else, and youre going to start loosing equipment. Maybe switching to FF armor would help, but with the XL and Endo Steel, you may not have the space for it. |
