Overview:
    A revisit of the GNN-1X prototype with new technologies invented since the Clan Invasion,
    the GNN-1R is a limited-production advanced model that rolled off the assembly line in 3097.
    Intended for veteran AFFS MechWarriors, it was meant to see service against their perennial
    foes in the Draconis Combine as well as the Clans.

Capabilities:
    As with the GNN-1X, the main weapon of the Gunner 1R is an Autocannon/10 with 4 tons of
    caseless ammunition, though now that bin is protected with CASE II. Its secondary weapon is
    a Medium VSP Laser reverse-engineered from Word of Blake models, and its anti-infantry
    weapons are two head-mounted Small Pulse Lasers - a change that necessitated shrinking the
    cockpit.
    
    Its mobility is reduced for heat efficiency via the use of Improved Jump Jets, and a
    searchlight is installed in the left torso for night fighting.
