Overview:
    The prototype that would eventually become the Gunner was conceived in 3056, intended to
    test caseless ammunition technology. The design would be radically overhauled into the 3R
    and rushed to production in preparation for the Great Refusal, and the old prototypes would
    be mothballed.

Capabilities:
    An Autocannon/10 with 4 tons of caseless ammo was the main weapon of the GNN-1X, with 5
    Medium Lasers supporting it. The only part left intact of the prototype besides the platform
    itself with the GNN-3R's development would be its machine gun with 2 tons of ammo, though
    this early version was subject to jamming.
    
    All ammunition is protected by CASE, and waste heat is handled by 10 double heat sinks.
