Overview:
    The GNN-3D version of the Gunner was made concurrently with the 3R, designed by Achernar
    exclusively for Federated Suns pilots. The goal was to make a 'Mech calibrated for Davionite
    MechWarriors' general preferences, and thus extensive feedback was taken from the AFFS.
    
    The changes to the core design that came from that development cycle were to alter the
    weaponry to have a roughly linear ramp-up in damage as the 'Mech closed in on an enemy, to
    which end the weapons suite was tweaked. The jump range was also increased to have an
    equivalent velocity to the Gunner's top land speed. Finally, the anti-infantry system was
    requested to be made ammo-independent.
    
    Like other initial Gunner variants, it was rushed to production so it could serve in
    Operation BULLDOG and Operation SERPENT.

Capabilities:
    A GM Nova-10 UAC/10 is the main gun of the GNN-3D, necessitating the removal of hand and arm
    actuators to fit it into the right arm. It is fed by a two-ton, CASE-protected ammo bin. For
    medium ranges, two ChisComp 4000-X ER Medium Lasers are installed on the left arm, and the
    left torso has a Federated SuperStreak Streak SRM-2 launcher with one ton of CASE-protected
    missiles for close range. Finally, a Diverse Optics Type 10P Small Pulse Laser is installed
    for the head to deter infantry. The number of Double Heat Sinks is kept at 12 in order to
    add some resistance to heating caused by enemy weaponry.
    
    DESIGN QUIRKS: Easy to Maintain, Hyper-Extending Actuators, Difficult Ejection

Deployment:
    The trial by fire for the Gunner was the Great Refusal, participating in the informal
    Annihilation of Clan Smoke Jaguar.
