Overview:
No Stalkers of any of any variant get the limelight in the media that other high-profile
Assualt BattleMechs receive. Stalkers are a workhorse assault ?Mech of the SLDF and have
    been for two hundred years.
Designed by Triad Technologies in 2594, the Stalker is a powerhouse of a ?Mech, most
variants mount a mix of heavy weaponry and all mount heavy armor. While no one will ever
accuse the Stalker of being fast, few can claim it is easy to stop. The Stalker "Hussar"
variant stands out even among this workhorse Assault Mechs many incarnations.

Capabilities:
The simplest description of all Stalker BattleMechs is that they are brutes. At 85 tons it
sits comfortably in the middle of the assault ?Mech classification. The ?Hussar? is just
more brutal and blunter kind of battlefield weapon. The ?Hussar? carries a 255-rated Strand
Fusion Engine providing power for movement and weaponry like most Stalkers and while it?s
not fast, the 54 kph top speed lets it keep up with other assault elements. The ?Hussar?s?
additional three tons of Valiant Lamellor armor compared to the thirteen-and-a-half tons of
Valiant Lamellor armor found on other Stalker variants, gives it better protection than even
the other Stalkers variants in battle.
The Stalker STK-0Hr ?Hussar?s? armament is not as varied as most Stalker variants, its
capabilities rely exclusively on an energy-based weapons loadout. This loadout consist of
two Magna Hellstar PPCs, backed up by eight Magna Mark II Medium Lasers. Supporting this
energy heavy loadout is twenty-nine single heat sinks, allowing the ?Hussar? the capability
of sustaining a steady barrage from its whole weapons loadout even at a run. The pair of
Magna Hellstar PPCs provide accurate and devastating long-range combat firepower
capabilities, while its total of eight Magna Mark III lasers offer a truly powerful and
    deadly point-blank combat firepower capability.
Unlike other Stalker?s limitations having to use a staggered firing pattern to deal with
heat in combat, the ?Hussar?s? armament and heat dissipation lessens this issue.
MechWarriors who try a so-called ?alpha strike? on their opponents don?t find themselves in
heat-overload, like their less lucky Mechwarrior counter parts.
The Stalker?s original manufacturer, Triad Technologies, had a simple marketing slogan for
this ?Mech: ?It?s not flashy. It?s not the cutting edge. It just keeps coming.?

Deployment:
The Stalker "Hussar" variants century of limited production, has a earned it a place in the
heavy lances of the SLDF, House Armies, Periphery nations, and even a few mercenary units
    that can aquire them.
Wherever a Stalker is found it is ignored, except when faced in combat. The dichotomy is
ironic; only when faced with one will MechWarriors admit to fear of it. Otherwise the
Stalker is just too common to make a good bogeyman.
Unfortunately this dichotomy is enhanced to a truly deadly level, when the Stalker turns
    out to be the "Hussar".

Variants:
Stalker STK-0Hr ?Hussar?s? are rumored to have Star League Royal variant, mostly found in
    the hands of selected Gunslingers.
