Overview:
ALTERNATE HISTORY - 20 Clans, 1 ilKhanate
Produced cooperatively between Clans Wolverine, Diamond Shark, Hells Horses, and Blood
Spirit under Project Gatehouse, the Nerio is a cheap garrison tank, meant to help hold Inner
Sphere planets when the time came for the Clans to return home. At its core, the tank is a
light trooper, capable of most any mission one might ask of a 50 ton tank, although it does
not stand out in any particular area. It is quick enough to keep up with Cavalry units,
though that did neccisitate the change from a cheap ICE to a full Fusion engine. The Turret
is desgined to be semi-modular, under Wolverine's common Quicksilver Design Protocols.
In accordance with Gatehouse's stated goals, the Standard is entirely ammo dependent,
preventing deserters from having a weapon free of supply lines. Its main weapon is an LB 5-X
Autocannon, useful for striking lightly armored targets and dealing with aircraft,
especially light helicopters, with its 2 tons of ammo. Supporting it is a LRM 5 launcher
with one ton of ammunition. Two Machine guns, one in the turret and one front mounted, round
out the armament with some anti-infantry support.
