Overview:
    The Frontiersman was stuck in its design process for well over twenty years. When the
    FTI-22R was finally given its approval for production, many were concerned that a Battlemech
    designed by committee would not make a worthwhile investment. Surprisingly, this 25 ton mech
    ended up excelling in a role that it was not originally designed for. Initially designed as
    a reconnaissance Mech, many battle commanders instead used it as a rapid response force.
    With its high speed, the Frontiersman was able to move from hotspot to hotspot, providing
    fire support. In addition, the Frontiersman's TAG enabled units receiving support from the
    Battlemech to coordinate accurate indirect fire on opposition that could not be handled by
    the local combined arms.
