Heavy firepower at all ranges, heavy armor (even if not maxed) and good speed would make this a very dangerous assault but on the other side the designers made a serious mistake.
They kept that two small laser but gave the gauss only 8 shots.
The gauss is vital to that Banshee because it enables it to keep a steady high rate of fire in turns when only one ER-PPC can be fired to reduce the heat.

I love the name. I like how it looks. I like the Dual ERPPC/Single Gauss.. but man. This could have been so much better. The small lasers are just a waste, as is the rear firing medium. You can dump the three of them for another ton of Gauss ammo and a ton of armor and have something far more battle worthy. Also, that Gauss Rifle sitting right on top of the Engine is just asking to go BOOM!!! Swap it and its ammo with the 2 MLs in the Left Arm. Especially since you don't have a Hand there anyways, might as well end in a big gun.
Other than the faults of low armor and gauss ammo, this is actually a decent ride. I don't mind it on random 'mech assignment, because in a good tactical usage it will do OK. |

Compared to the earlier version of the BNC this has far greater firepower. that being said it mounts on xl engine to give it 4/6 speed. the other problem is that it retains the light armor of previous versions. between the xl engine and light armor the 5S wont survive long in a fight. |

Great you guys gave the monster an XL engine but forgot to pad the armor. Nevermind that anyway, with only a pathetic 8 slugs for your main big gun (and it can explode too !), you might be running back to reload and re-arm more than you think.
The dual ERPPCs are decent but lacking the ability to fire them both while on the fly can mean trouble. This Banshee already has a glass jaw, you certainly don't want to stop around to cool off.
And get rid of those smalls, pretty please. |

Take a beast that can last on the field till the last dregs of the battle are fought and won or lost. Then mount an xl in it and don't improve the armour.
Give it a Guass rifle with the tonnage and forget to add ammo for it. Basically cancells out the need for XL after your Guass is out of ammo. |
