Overview:
    The Thunderchild LAM is one of a myriad of new designs fielded by Devlin Stone's Laments
    during their sudden appearance in 3149.  Utilizing highly advanced weaponry unlike anything
    the Inner Sphere has seen, the Thunderchild allows an inordinately large amount of firepower
    in a LAM chassis, one of the main disadvantages that LAMs traditionally carried hand in hand
    with their superior maneuverability.

Capabilities:
    Between the trio of Advanced-series Pulse Lasers (2 large and 1 small) and six enhanced jump
    jets, the Thunderchild hits hard and fast.  Lightly armored compared to many other 50 ton
    BattleMechs, the Thunderchild relies on its increased speed to maintain survivability.

Deployment:
    Although Stone's Lament forces normally deploy in reinforced six 'Mech lances, Thunderchild
    LAMs often form dedicated Lances made up of only their own kind, and only four strong.
    These so-called Thunder-Lances operate as forward scout forces, and harassers.

Variants:
    One variant seen of the Thunderchild seen on battlefields across the Supremacy has been one
    with extended range lasers instead of pulse, with the extra weight saved utilized on
    reinforced bomb bays.
    
    Another variant witnessed is designed to integrate readily with the Laments standard
    reinforced Lance organization, with extended range lasers and an improved C3 computer.  This
    version seems to maintain higher ground speeds as well, suggesting a larger engine.
