Overview:
    The Blitzkugel is a Reichssphare produced raider.  With its high speed and comparatively
    heavy punch the design is intended to worry the flanks and rear of enemy formations.  A pure
    energy armament allows for deep strikes or extended patrols with equal aplomb.

Capabilities:
    The Blitzkugel design started with the desired speed and found the optimal frame from there.
    This resulted in a design with maximized armor and firepower for its speed.  Successive
    iterations have enhanced the capabilities further as additional weight saving technologies
    were incorporated.
    
    The weapons array is a simple arrangement of ER medium lasers.  Effective and not too much
    of a strain on the power systems.  Glazed armor gives added protection from the most likely
    threat of pulse lasers.  It's weakness to physical attacks is countered by a simple rule.
    Don't let them touch you.  Upgrading to a small cockpit and an XL gyro freed up the tonnage
    to add MASC and an ECM.  The small cockpit and MASC come with a degree of risk.  The ECM
    improves the odds of survival by at least 25% when set to project ghost targets.

Variants:
    The Blitzkugel is based on an older design, the Plasma Ball.  In turn the Plasma Ball was
    based on the Fireball.  Their (successful) attempt to take what we rightfully stole is yet
    one more point of grievance we have against the Reichssphare.  A minor one.  The entire
    "Your bloodlines are not pure!" thing is a much bigger point of contention.
