While the ER-PPC stamps some holes into his opponents armor the three RAC's deliver a hail of small grenades with a long-range crit-seeking effect. Two standard self-defense lasers round out its arsenal.
This mech isn't a lone fighter but a team-player. Use it in a lance of other big mechs and even if you're running out of ammo your PPC and lasers can still dish out some damage. |

As it stands this mech is extremely vulnerable to anyone with a TC. I agree that 3 huge 6 barrelled Gatling guns for a right arm will make the mech look pretty darn cool and impressive but anyone with a TC will be gunning for those the RA. After a couple of solid hits, the weapons will start soaking in critical damage, not good.
Still 3 RAC2s is a very nice thing and the amount of damage rocking all over the enemy is very fine indeed.
Even if they are silenced, at least there is still an ERPPC to cover the mech while the warrior makes off the field.
Could be alot better if its RACs were spread over the 2 arms and maybe the right torso.

The templar is a favorite of mine and deadly in the right hands. While the TLR1-O plays as a lancer, this one is your fully bred sniper. PPC works well with the RAC's, which strip armour suprisingly quickly.
I stand this guy back, concentrate on other fire support mechs where the armour is usually thinner and the weapons can pierce the armour quicker. It really cuts pitched battles down quickly. |

This is a crit-seeking sniper; find a good piece of cover and go to town with this 'mech. The RAC/2s have the potential to hit eighteen different locations. There are no 'mechs of any weight which can withstand that kind of treatment for very long.
My only problem is the weapons placement; while I can imagine that three RACs in a single arm probably looks pretty darn cool, if that arm gets shot off this 'mech is going to loose the lion's share of it's firepower in one blow. |

Obviously meant as a sniper, but there are better weapons for the role. While even RAC/2s throw up a lot of firepower, they're the shortest ranged of all AC/2s. Which means that this will take more fire than most snipers. Especially since 18 hexes is also the max range of an Ultra AC/10. The ER PPC is better, and the ER meds or of course meant for up close. Still, wherever this is, it'll be very short on firepower. This will do the job, but it could've been done better. |
