Im not sure if this design is deliberately or accidentally counter productive. The heavy lasers are murderous in close, but place the mech well within range of any return fire. The penalty inherent to the lasers are offset by the targeting computer, netting the mech a moderately useful beam weapon array. The LBX appears to be on here as an afterthought, though not a very good one. While the weapon can deal some damage, the range is moderate at best. It appears the mech would be ideal for urban or close quarters combat. However the armor is sorely lacking. The armor can stop one, perhaps two hits from a Gauss or ER PPC weapon. After that, the myomers are swinging in the breeze. Bottom line, this omni is being forced into a role that its not really armored or armed for by its own weapons arrays.

The firepower on this looks good, until you see that it has a maximum range of 18 hexes- 15 if you want any real firepower. Firing the cannon and 2 of the larges builds up 0 heat; no problem there. However, that 3rd laser adds an additional 18 heat. So, if the ammo doesn't cook off, this mech will be nearly immobile and have an even worse time hitting anything. Just what a slow mech with short ranged weapons needs.
The heavy targeting computer doesn't help with cluster shots, and there are too few weapons to cycle effectively. However, if you know that you'll only be fighting in very tight quarters . . . with a great gunner, this mech could dominate all comers.

Actually, this has the same 18 overheat as the Prime; it also has slightly less damage potential and carries ammo. This is good, but the Prime is better. The targeting computer is good, but the heavy lasers render that moot. And while this overheats as much as the Prime, the Prime has no ammo - this does, and ammo in hot 'Mechs often goes boom. A minor concern, but move the tar comp to the RT, so you don't lose it when the ammo goes off.

This is a pretty good variant on the Nova Cat, but at long ranges, this thing is in trouble. But I've sort of had soft spots for the Heavy lasers.

Inferior in my opinion to the Prime and the A variant; it carries fewer heat sinks and generates more heat. Those Heavy Lasers are dangerous, but generate too much heat for the 'mech to use them effectively.
