The large laser and LRM´s gives this Strider the ability to make some impact on the battlefield. In combination with the C3-slave it can stay quite a distance from the front.
It has lots of ammo too but has to alternate its fire to avoid getting slower due to heat. A decreased mobility will mean death to this mech! |

This would make a nice pursuit/screening vehicle. Get a spotter in close to the enemy and tag 'em with the LRMs. Overall, I don't see anything to give this a + or a -. |

A useful scout mech. A little slow for my opinion of that kind of unit but the C3 helps for those heavy recon in force lances.
Its weapons load is pretty good with lots of ammo and the ability to fire for a long long time against most enemies.
Out of all the pods for the Strider this is my favourite. |

A decent mech, the two LRM's make good paintstripers until the large laser gets into range, the they become useful crit seekers. Not much cope against larger mechs but an ok light hunter.
Relatively cheap so useful to cover your J-27's and supplies in campaigns. |

This one Ive used in several C3 lances, and thats where it belongs. The twin LRMs make this a perfect light support mech, especially with the C3 link to direct or provide fire support.
The large laser is a nice addition to keep enemy mechs from getting to close, so its not completely naked in close up fights.
This mod makes me think that the SR1 series was made for C3 links. |
