Much better than the -5S from 3050! More armor, better heat sink capacity and a rugged standard engine are a bonus to the Banshee (even though the speed drops to assault standard) . The number of lasers has been reduced but the pulse lasers will be better against fast light mechs trying to flank you out. Another plus compared to the -5S is the increased ammo capacity for the gauss. |

Very Very nicely done. Everything fits in terms of what was on the previous version and replacements. Like the reasoning behind it and you mentioned the only difficult part as DHS replacements. This will be a bastard to kill. With no XL he can stick around and lay down 35 points of damage per round.
MPL helps with fleshy types a little or get rid of high speed close Mechs and the SRM is the vehicle killer or hole finder.
Description of the weapon types is good. Noteable Pilot and reason was a nice touch. All is all Bravo.
AWAD- will swipe this one. |

It could use one more heat sink, but otherwise it's a terror on the field. Not fast, but it can survive many hits and the weapons have some reach.
Where is the small laser? :D Perhaps I'd drop the LT MPL for a head mounted SPL to fend off infantry and add the heat sink to improve heat dissipation. It would require moving the gauss ammo to CT (a no-problem move), but I think the result wold be worth the effort. |
