Overview:
*MERCNET PRIORITY UPDATE*
It is a well known fact that the Clans are efficiency-minded. To that end, it is logical
that Clans would eventually begin making use of battlefield salvaged 'Mechs. Thanks to the
submissions of BattleROMs and Beagle Active Probe data from several raiding units which have
just returned from Clan-occupied space, we at MERCNET have this PRIORITY THREAT update for
you.
While on the planet *CLASSIFIED*, the Merc unit *CLASSIFIED* engaged a Clan *CLASSIFIED*
solhoma unit. This Binary size unit consisted almost entirely of REBUILT Inner Sphere Heavy
and Assualt class 'Mechs. Only due to their 'Mechs superior speed was the Merc unit able to
complete their recon mission.
The solhoma unit leader was piloting a rebuilt AS7-D (-CX), which according to the data,
sported CLAN DHS, CLAN ARMAMENT, and CASE, all on a IS chassis. Probable load out consisted
of 2 ER MLs, 4 (FOUR!) MPLs, a Gauss Rifle, a LRM20 rack with ArtemisIV, a SRM6 rack
(probable STREAK), with a pair of ER SLs mounted in the rear. Approach this 'Mech with
GREAT caution!

ReBuilts are "As Cheap As Possible; As Dangerous As Possible"
Considering that the Clans are getting the most expensive parts of a BattleMech for 'free',
these ReBuilts are the Clan's most cost-effective battlefield assets.

So far, CLAN 'ReBuilts' have been sighted the occupied worlds of Clans Wolf and Jade Falcon.
Deployment seems to be bolstering 2nd-Line garrison and solhoma units, freeing up valuable
IICs and OmniMechs for the front lines.

not bad but I still like the old atlas. dhs is a good improvement. some long energy weapons would help out alot if the ammo bins run dry.

Well, it can fire everything nonstop. And? Long range firepower is nice, but not exceptional, short range guns can hurt the enemy easily, but the trick would be in getting the enemy to range (just like with the old Atlas). I would prefer ER LLs instead of the pulse laser battery, because in defensive situation the 'Mech would use ranged weapons more than short range guns, but a few pulse lasers are always handy. Keep it hiding somewhere as the other 'Mechs deal with the enemy at long range and then unleash the Kraken... err... Atlas (just a little confusion of titans ;) ). If you use the ROE than you may be in trouble (Dire Wolves can be nasty). Not bad.

Well there is certainly enough DHS to fire ALL that closed range armament to tear almost anyone a new one.
Smart warriors will still keep this thing from arms length. It has some long ranged firepower, but the ammo will not hold out forever. After that anyone can just plink at it with a ERLarge laser.
