Nice configuration for short range fighting, heavies can do a lot of damage and than you just use ER lasers until you cool down. Careful heat management is needed if you want to stay in the fight, but there are always JJs if anything goes wrong. Lack of long range weapons can be a problem, but otherwise I can't see any major flaws. |

Take one of my favourite mechs in the game, and then proceed to make a better modification to it.
My only complaint is it effectively only had a range of 20 hexes at best. Maybe 23 at tops if your run is straight.
Which can sink a clan mech if your not careful. Still carries too many guns but its a Nova, its suppost to be screwy.
Show cases a piece of technology I like as the in close punch weapons. Still needs a bit of range might steal from this and load one ER PPC, and ER Mediums, and Heavy Mediums into my Nova next time I need a clan mech.
Better in close fighter, without sacrificing its long range potential. What's not to like? |

hard to say what i think here. In some ways a great improvement, the heavies provide massive close firepower which the original lacked because of the heat ratio. While still not immune you can now swith between, lower damage, longer range and higher damage shorter range.
That said it can still be outranged easily as its cut off point is pitifully low because of the ERs but definatley a worthwhile improvement. |
