The Bone Shaman Special reminds me of an Annhilator due to the same maximum range of 15. Course the fact this has two AC 20s for its in close work means it'll be picked off at range even quicker.
Its another expensive unit that will only ever work in a city, like an Urbanmech if you get forced out of your city your meat. And the cost for this is far higher than your standard Urbanmech. |

The XL engines would not have being so bad if those were gauss rifles instead of AC20s.
At least you are sniping at long range and not brawling up close which will rip the XL to shreds.
As for the 4 large lasers, they will easily do 32 points of damage but i would prefer 3 PPCs. The heat build up will be more managable at least plus u still have free tonnage for other things.

Well, this has a low rating for missing its potential. I love it! I *HATE* the XL, especially since it doesn't have range.
Now, I usually don't like 'modifying' designs that are posted here. But with this one you could put in a 200 standard engine, use the gained weight and room to add two double heat sinks. You'd have gotten rid of heat problems. And you would be tougher. Of course, you'd be slow and have a low range. But, that's what fluff is there for! |
