This chassis managed to double its cost and add 120 meters to its effective range... Which seems to be a down side.
Its more fragile, and with just as bad heat curve as the original. When you get an XL engine you expect a big improvement. I'm not exactly sure how you save 6 tons and don't really get a better ride, weapons or heat wise. The 45 upgrade Crab is a better and cheaper ride in my mind. |

Replacing the lasers with PPCs gives the Crab stronger punch at the cost of accuracy and protection provided by electronics suite. XL engine is fragile, but this mech has armor to withstand some hits. Additional short range weapons and DHS are welcome, but with XL engine I would expect speed increase. |

The fluff is alittle wierd though. Because tecnhincally from 1st May 3067, Victor Davion is Precentor Martial of the ComStar. Its unlikely he will be creating trouble for Peter Steiner Davion.
The mech is pretty decent though, having a nice pair of ER PPC hitters at long range. The XL is a vulnerability but dual ER PPCs at maxed speed can help keep the mech far away from arms length.
JJs could have being a very nice addition though. Even if its not a full jump (at least 4), the mech can still escape quickly from a sticky situation. |

Only thing I could think of is to drop the ER Meds, back to standard mediums.
