In a heavy combat zone this one will have two options: Shred the opponent to pieces while blowing itself up by an ammo-explosion or using the RAC´s to stay at a low heat while running out of ammo soon. Reduce the number of HS and turn them to DHS plus more ammo and maybe CASE. To handle backbiters turn the Smalls backward (maybe take one Medium ER and one Small ER instead). The armor is the only plus in this design. The firepower is great but you can´t really use it. |

Lots of armor and lots of in-close firepower. However . . .
There are no long-range weapons- none- on a slow mech in a high tech era.
The ammunition is enough for 5 rounds of full fire and lacks CASE.
Energy weapons are light, but still produce far more heat than the mech can handle- even with legs submerged. Alternating fire between 2 standard large lasers and 2 under-ammoed, jam-prone RAC 5's is not likely to stop anything slow enough to be caught in short range.
A few changes (notably DHS and more ammo) would alleviate some of the problems, but even with ER lasers it will have to come in close to be of any use. As it is, this will spend a lot of time in bad range-brackets, overheated, and with jammed RAC's or empty bins. |

I must agree with previous reviews. Time era is wrong and heat cripples this mech. If I may suggest few changes than at least install RAC/2s and use remaining tonnage for heat sinks, but even this won't save it. Armor coverage is excellent as well as mobility (for an assault) but weapons are insufficient. Any faster mech with some long range firepower (read 3025 Panther) can kill it without being hit and ACs are soon going to run out of ammo... For some reason this reminds me of Rifleman, better armor, but the same problems. And without fluff that would explain it. |

Bad fluff, Really odd weapon choice. Interesting movement profile, which I like.
The RACs are seriously high tech weapons why do they get matched with single heat sinks and standard energy weapons?
The era is off as well. Doesn't have the heat sinks for the RACs in hex mode, let alone the Large Lasers.
Armour is nice though, with no rear facing weapons though, you'd be hooped. |

Good idea, poor implementation.
What's the deal with single heat sinks? There's no way this mech can handle the weapons it carries. Not even with careful management.
As it stands, this thing can't even defend itself from ranged attacks. It has exactly zero long-range weapons and it is not fast enough to close with a more mobile enemy. Not even jump jets can help here.
Fluffwise... bah. WHY? what purpose was this designed for?
Just bizarre. |
