Overview:
    The Red Hawk is an old Terran Hegemony design which occasionally appears in the armies of
    the Successor Lords.  It was originally deployed in conjunction with teams of Griffins as a
    body guard 'mech, once the Griffin's short-range vulnerabilities were fully appreciated.  It
    shares many of the same parts with the Shadow Hawk/Griffin/Wolverine trio, making repair and
    refit a reasonable proposition even though most supply stocks for the design have long since
    been exhausted.  It's heavy armor plating gives it a distinctively bulky appearance.
    Warriors unfamiliar with the design have been known to mistake it for a Grasshopper at first
    sighting.

Capabilities:
    The Red Hawk is extremely well armored for a medium 'mech.  Four wrist mounted Martell
    medium lasers provide a strong close range punch, backed up by two Holly SRM-4 launchers.
    It also carries a large number of heat sinks; unfortunately due to a flaw in the design of
    the center torso, one of the heat sinks mounted directly under the engine is particularly
    vulnerable to damage; this has proven to be an unexpected blessing for some pilots though.
    The heat sink is positioned in such a way that hits which would otherwise damage the fusion
    plant hit the heat sink instead.  (In game terms, the single empty slot in the center torso
    counts as a heat sink slot).  The design's only serious flaw is the lack of long-range
    firepower.

Deployment:
    The Red Hawk is thinly spread out among all five house armies, with House Liao and House
    Steiner possessing the greatest concentrations of the design.  The only known Red Hawks in
    mercenary hands are a lance deployed with the Eridani Light Horse, who find it's combination
    of speed and heavy armor a valuable addition to their ranks.
