Overview:
    The KGC-5000 Variant of the King Crab is a rarely seen variant introduced shortly before the
    Aramis Civil War. The KGC-5000 is built on the same chassis as the KGC-000 but is built
    around quadruple PPCs instead of twin Autocannon 20s. This design incorporates these as its
    primary weapons systems to allow it to have an unprecedented killing power at range. Also
    the design incorporates an SRM 6 rack with 2 Medium Lasers mounted in place of the LRM 15
    and a twin mount of Medium Lasers on the Center Torso instead of the ER Large Laser
    originally mounted there for close in work.

Capabilities:
    The KGC-5000 is capable of doing damage equal to its predecessor at a far greater range
    making this Mech an incredibly powerful sniper Mech. Also it carries an assortment of short
    range weapons capable of giving the Mech good defensive capabilities up close. The only
    drawback to the design is the SRM 6 Racks low amount of ammunition. Also the Mech dies have
    slightly heavier center torso and leg armor and has had its heat sinks upgraded to double
    heat sinks as well as number of them being increased by 5 double heat sinks making the
    design able to withstand the immense heat from it's 4 Tiegart PPCs.

Deployment:
    The KGC-5000 was a rare but feared site with the Star League army when it re-took Terra and
    the Hegemony itself. since the fall of the star league the design has not been seen since in
    the successor states except for 3 of the Mechs. One is in the possession of the NAIS on New
    Avalon. The second is located within the Draconis Combine and a third which is no longer
    used, because of a lack of spare parts, is located on the Comstar Grounds at Hilton head
    which was seen only during the wedding of Hanse Davion and Melissa Steiner. Although there
    are rumors of Comstar having more of these designs it is suspected that any other KGC-5000s
    were either destroyed during the succession wars or were with Kerensky's fleet on the
    Exodus.
    
    
    
    Battle History:
    
    During the Battles for Hegemony Worlds and Terra itself the KGC-5000 proved itself to be a
    Mech not to be fooled with. Many times forces loyal to Aramis would attempt to snipe at the
    design only finding that it had the ability to take out each of its snipers one at a time,
    many times only in one shot of its four PPCs. One notable event was during the battle for
    Terra itself. On thew outskirts of the city of Washington a KGC-5000 was isolated by 2
    lances of Aramis Mechs. The KGC-5000 went down but only after taking 6 other Mechs with it,
    in spite of that event or perhaps because of it after the war and during the succession wars
    the KGC-5000 became a type of Mech rapidly going extinct due to the fact that successor
    states armies would initially throw whole companies at them in order to remove them from the
    fight as quickly as possible.
