Overview:
This is a Clan second line machine, intended for seek and destroy missions.
Capabilities:
At 35 tons, this 'Mech is not the heaviest, but it does pack a considerable punch for a
light 'Mech. One downside is its speed. While not able to catch most light 'Mechs, the
Ripper has the range to take them down quickly. Another point is the slightly high heat
problems this 'Mech has.
Deployment:
Right now the Ripper is serving in Clans Wolf, Diamond Shark, and Ghost Bear. In the
Wolves, the 332nd Provisional Garrison has recieved 2 Rippers, and the Ghost Bears have been
able to procure at least 3 for their 21st Garrison Cluster. Rumor has it that the Diamond
Sharks are the original makers, as no other Clans field the Ripper.

Excellent static guard. Cost is low armor is strong and twin ER PPCs can do a lot of damage even without the heat sinks to fire them all. Don't try to use it anywhere out of well fortified position and without something to keep enemy occupied. Otherwise something heavier or faster will come to crush it.

A cheap mech that carries twin ERPPCs. i can see the IS buying these in droves from Clan Diamond Shark.
Slower than the Puma but still well armored and it does not spot any new fangled Endo-steel or Ferro-fibrous which is a bonus even for poorer IS states.
The mech heat is way too high though and i will pity whoever rides it for long but if u absolutely want to kill another light mech with just 1 - 2 shots, this is it.

Sure its got the firepower, sure its cheap. But the clan assault mechs move 4/6 usually. Which means this mech is woefully under engined for its massive guns.
I can't see Diamond Shark making this niche of a design. Most clans would enver bother to bid on it. Its not exactly something that scares anyone.

This would make a good National Guard 'mech for the Clans. It's slow and light, but it packs a heavy punch. Even heavy 'mechs should not take twinner ER PPCs lightly. A Star of these 'mechs would make a nice defense indeed, definitely strong enough to wipe out lights and mediums, and at least bloody the nose of anything heavier. Drop this one into a second-line unit guarding any sort of static target, and watch those PPCs tear into the next Ice Hellion raider that comes too close.

A fairly inexpensive chassis to mount 2 ER PPCs to. Not mobile enough to really go around anywhere. This could really only be used as a guard for places with conventional units to back it up.
