Overview:
The Jaegar is the third custom battlemech owned by the Grimm family of Regulus. The Jaegar
is presently piloted by the patriarch of the Grimm family, Captain Cimon Grimm, commander of
Grimm's company of the Eastern Star Strike Battalion of the 1st Regulan Hussars. The Grimm
family's rich estates, scattered throughout Regulan space, ensure the Grimms are generally
able to keep their unique battlemechs in fighting trim. Although the Jaegar has suffered
extensive damage in the past, it is in perfect condition despite it's scarred exterior.
Capabilities:
The Jaegar is essentially an extensive modification of the Shadow Hawk. Dissatisfied with
his Shadow Hawk's lack of specialized purpose, Cimon Grimm retooled the entire 'mech.
Although many of his colleagues in the First Regulan Hussars considered him mad to tinker
with the poorly understood insides of his 'mech, Cimon showed himself to be a master
technician and engineer as well as a skilled mechwarrior.
Cimon Grimm decided to emphasize the long-range fire support abilities of the Shadow Hawk.
Keeping the Hawk's AC/5, he upgraded the LRM rack and discarded the SRM-2s and several tons
of armor. Never satisfied with the Shadow Hawk's limited jumping ability, he decided that
jump jets would be superflous on the Jaegar, and decided to strip them from the 'mech in
order to reduce the heat burden. Having seen the Archer pilot in his lance dispatch 'mechs
which came too close with it's battle fists and torso mounted Medium Lasers, he decided to
follow the same approach with the Jaegar, moving the arm mounted Medium Laser to a side
torso, and adding a second Medum Laser for additional insurance.
Deployment:
The Jaegar serves in the 1st Regulan Hussars as the personal 'mech of Captain Cimon Grimm.
Captain Grimm's command lance consists of the Jaegar, a Trebuchet, an Archer, and a
Centurion.

Comment:
Fast support mech (for it's era) that can fire long barrages, because it doesn't generate too much heat. Backup weapons, ammo reserves and armor are just average, but for decent support machine like this they are sufficient.

A good 3025 ShadowHawk-Upgrade.
Now it has a decent punch at longrange and can defend itself at short range.
I never liked the -2H weapon loadout.

I kinda like this design.
It has good long range firepower that it can maintain for a decent amount of time and can easily switch over to its dual mediums at close range.
When put together with its lance mates, the Jaegar, while primarily a long range mech can support the centurion quite well when the enemy gets near. The Ac/5 may have a minimum range, but its short range is quite good.
