Why the TSMs?
Im not seeing what a fire support boat is going to be doing in the middle of a hand to hand beating match?
The weapons load is geared for long range fire support. If you are close enough that you need the TSMs for physical combat, youve done something wrong. And TSMs arent going to save you. |

Hot energy boat and with TSM (strange thing for mech without arms or desperate need for more speed).
The heat can be easily kept in check if some DHSs are turned off, but the placing of weapons doesn't make it too easy to use all guns. I would rather use standard PPCs (and install some backup, because two gauss shells can half the damage dealt). |

The heat curve is almost impossible to get right to use the TSM.
Plus, it loses points for mounting 100% energy weapons in an Autocannon boat.
This is one of the cases where the Davion's forgot what they were doing when this refit was made. |

Hard hitting and with decent armor for a Rifleman. Heat dissipation is good but not good enough for the weapon systems. As a direct fire support mech this would work well. Can shoot the ER PPC's at longer ranges then switch over to the large lasers as target closes.
Though I wonder how the design would be affected if you swapped the two systems around. ER Large Lasers and PPCs. The heat would be more manageable and the two weapon's ranges would have a closer overlap. Just a thought. |

Overall as a fire support machine this looks good. It can fire both of it's ER PPCs with no heat problems. The only thing I can see as a problem is the triple strength myomers. The heat sinks as well as the weapons would make it extremely hard to maintain the heat at the proper levels to really use it. |
