Overview:
    In the Syrnas system in the Periphery between the Lyran Commonwealth and the Draconis
    Combine is the home of an interesting but now extinct design. Having some bad electrical
    storms that sweep across the continent periodically, the need for military vehicles without
    vulnerable ammo was a must. The storms had a tendancy to set off ammo stored in metal ammo
    bins when outside of insulated areas during the storms. The a company organized the
    construction of a minor mech plant to build this design. Having no automated systems meant
    that the production of the mech was very labor intensive and hazardous as well. Many workers
    were injured or killed during the production run of the mech. Production only lasted for 5
    years whereby the government forced them to shut the plant down after a particularly
    horrible incident involving the death of 32 workers and leaving another 68 in the hospital.
    There were a total of 56 of these mechs built in that 5 years.

Capabilities:
    With speed and armor comparable to it's weight class the Purkah is rather mobile. Mounting
    an all energy array allows this mech to continue operations even during the massive electric
    storms that ravage this world. The large laser is the primary weapon and is backed up by 2
    medium class lassers and a small laser. The 12 heatsinks allow this design to fire longer
    than one would expect though it's still a hot running design. ( an odd fact was that the hot
    running of this mech allowed it to resist some of the static bursts accosiated with the
    storms while cooler mechs were plagued with static surges that could sometimes cripple a
    mech's targeting and tracking system and comm systems.)

Deployment:
    All of these mechs were stationed on Syrnas III. None were known to have been relocated
    before the clans destroyed this planet by orbital bombardment in 3049. It is assumed that
    all trace of the Syrnasians were wiped out as no one has ever gone to this system since the
    clans went through, not even the clans.
