This nice upgrade (should i say un-Liao-like? ;-) relies on a standard engine and full armor for protection.
While the main gun is still far reaching the other weapons are geared for short-range combat to support the sword and to kick in the TSM.
TSM provides the sword with the ability to chop heads. The added speed serves it well too. Keep it in terrain that provides some cover like cities or woods and you'll have a mech the enemy has to think about. |

This is a rather fun mech to run. It runs hot up close sometimes but when it is close enough to engage the sword that is what you want to do. I love a medium mech that is Jump capable, and heavy hitting enough to cause mechs 20 tons larger worry about getting near this thing. Awesome unit to mix in with heavy support units to keep lights from getting up close for rear shots. Very nice. |

Runs very warm like all TSM designs, bracket your weapons and you should be able to control the heat buildup.
The weapons are all 100% energy base and the mech's inherent toughness makes it dangerous to anyone. Of course if you have the chance, swing the sword and cleave some lights arm or leg off. |

This mech will slay 1-2 mechs before it gets killed. It just has to make sure it doesn't shut down from too much heat.
Its got the firepower capable to just slaughter most lighter designs. I think it'd take out at least one heavy before it goes down. |

Is it just me or does House Liao have a fixation on the TSM? The use of it, in conjunciton with a high heat mech, means that the sword will let the mech kill lighter mechs in two blows or less. One must balance the advantage gained in this way against the possibility of shutting down. The mechs armor will take a beating from light weapons, but against dedicated assault weaponry, the mech is dangerously vulnerable. |
