Much better armored than the -1N but with even lower firepower. Ok, you can harrass your enemy from ranges he can´t really reply but I wouldn´t take a heavy to do this with a single AC/2. |

Heavy armor and good speed, but light weapons. it may snipe, but it's weapons are too weak to cause serious damage easily, but there is still a chance for critical hits and thanks to the combination of heavy armor and low damage can make it ignored, so the enemy may be occupied by the other 'Mechs and than suddenly face a heavily armored heavy at close range (okay the weapons are good for machines 20t lighter, but this Dragon shouldn't be afraid of physical attacks). I can't give it better rating. |

This mech draws a lot of picket duty in my forces. It gives decent and once in awhile stellar defence of my bases. The AC 2 guarenties that although scout mechs might get past this Dragon... I'm going to get lots of shots at ya as you go by, and with 5/8 I'm able to keep up for awhile emptying my bins at ya.
I like the 13 tons of armour because it lets it ignore most scout mechs and destroy them in slugging matches. However, don't put this variatation of the Dragon in a Line company because the weapons are too light. |

The Dragon design tries to be a fire-support 'mech, but is too fast to carry enough weapons to lay down dedicated heavy fire support. Instead of real firepower, the Dragon carries little potshot weapons. |

Just finished playing this mech. I would playing it again, but not mano a mano. It is too suceptable to damage. If you lose just one weapon from this mech you have lost the game. For a 60 tonner to be that vulnerable is bad. I normally like lasers in the back, but on this model I would move it to the front so that it would not get out gunned when someone gets to close. |
