Patch 2.24.10 Applied:
Another week another update being pushed out. A variety of things (both for you and for me) in this one. Details of what's included are as follows:

Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where the Create Variant was not appearing when editing a BASE omni design.

Changes
  • Modified how equipment that can be used when designing a unit is passed along to the browser. This allows for more stream-lined code and a slight improvement in editor load times.
  • Changed how information related to jump jets (type, technology, and model) is stored in the database for easier, more consistent, retrieval.
  • Tweaked the format of emails generated from the tracking system to show more information and order it more logically.
  • Changed the distribution screen when viewing readouts to utilize PRE tags so it would look and feel consistent with the other tabs.
  • Made improvements to the query on unit searches, resulting in an improvement of up-to 20% on load time.
  • Added Role to MegaMek output files when it is present for a unit.
  • Combat Vehicle Chassis Modifications are now available for use. This includes the Dune Buggy, Environmental (Vacuum) Sealing, Flotation Hull, Limited Amphibious, and Fully Amphibious modifications.

NOTE: Any forces or units impacted by the above fixes and/or changes have had their stats recalculated to ensure accuracy.

Overview:
    A curious by-product of the Free-Star republic fiasco. When one of the Hesperus weapon
    testing sites learned of Brandal Gareth's proclamation they holed up in their remote complex
    and quickly mobilised whatever weapon platform mounts to fire upon any potential rebels. In
    the end only a few light vehicles showed up by an accident and were quicky dealt with.
    Normally this would be it for the improvised weapons platforms, but somebody in the design
    depeartment first went to propose a standardised weapon testing platform using the omni pods
    to hasten various configuration simulations and then added a modest amount of industrial
    armor to keep the vehicle safe from potential blasts and malfunctions. There was only a
    short step from there toward the militarised weapon platform that the Anygun represents.

Capabilities:
    Anygun is literally just a massive weapon craddle with overcompensated recoil dampeners
    sheated upon a wheeled chassis. to the left of the weapon mounting there is the fusion
    engine housing alonfg with heat dissipation unit allong with whatever ammunition is needed
    for the currently mounted weapon. right side of the hull houses the crew and all sensors and
    targeting equipment all shielded from any potential explosion by an in-built CASE system.
    Total of 25 tons of equipment can be installed allowing for any known weapon system short of
    the massive Long Tom artillery piece. All mounted weapons are usually fixed facing forward,
    so using the Anygun usually requires close coordination with the other ground units, but
    Anygun will, on the other hand allow you to blast the enemy with any thinkable weapon system
    that you can find.

Deployment:
    Anyguns are slowly spreading aroung Steiner space. Usually filling gaps whenever some
    weapons needs to be deployed and no specialised weapon system better suited for the task is
    available. Curiously the Anygun seems to be able to mitigate any weapon and vehicle
    production discrepancies making it particularly liked by purchasing officers and weapon
    manufacturers alike. Federated Suns ordered a samll batch of the platforms for testing
    scheduled for delivery in 3059 while some very similar copies were supposedly spotted in
    Liao and Taurian hands.
